It's a really good game. I'll play all of them in chronogical order. I already played three of them: this one, CD and Final Conflict.

@@IcemansWorld337 I know Shining in the Darkness. It's a Dungeon Crawler and a good one. If you really want to play games like Shining Force CD, Final Conflict or Shining 3, try emulation.

Yes. I liked him since the moment I adquired him. I decided to put him in my squad almost every mission.

What's it mean by 'shredded?'

When an enemy or ally is 'Shredded' he will get 33% increased damage when hit.

Currency in this game is weird. Such small amounts of cash for a war effort.

It's true that you don't get much money. I had to spend hours farming money and trying to capture aliens in order to get the best equipment for the last missions. It became repetitive near the end. This was my first playthrough of this game; maybe there is a better way to do things. Despite this, Its a good game. I enjoyed it.

I really hate chryssalids. I don't care if i kill a civilian or two when trying to kill one of these bugs. They can 'one shot' one of my soldiers.

How do you enable subtitles from the very start of the game? Before getting access to the sound menu?

I just enabled them on in the Sound Menu before starting a New Game. I don't think there is another way to do it.
