Yes it’s way too expensive, they weren’t that high priced when they first came on the market if I recall correctly.

Amazing how long Viruses have been valued and viable. Just picked up a KB. What an amazing machine. 25 years old now, so I opened it up and replaced some worn knobs, cleaned it, and replaced the LCD display with a red OLED. The KB 61 in addition to having a kickass Virus B, has arguably the best keybed in the industry, the Fatar TP/8s so it makes the perfect master keyboard.

That's how a demo have to be done il my opinion : creativity. This one is really excellent. I agree with other comments, playing "Jump", or doing a gritty guitar solo have no interest. And now I plan to buy one of these cheap synths because thanks to your track I know that it's capable of great sounds

Is this one take? Or multiple layers? Is everything I hear the Streichfett? If so, I'm gonna have to re-examine my Streichfett on how to (re)produce these sounds. Well done! 😀

thanks mate. yeah, almost all my non-beats music is one-take, single layer, real-time improv...using just the two hands (sometimes using CD's to hold down keys if the synth doesn't have a HOLD function). Then recording the audio and uploaded. Check out this collection of 10 such pieces, it has the longer final Streichfett piece here included (track 6)...free WAV download ifya fancy (just select "0" as price): dholl.bandcamp.com/album/best-of-the-last-10-years-improten - some extra written detail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaTEiGh8ncqtocU

Hiya is that an original DX7 preset really like it?
@dhollsynthmusic2 жыл бұрын
hi mate, i think it was one of the "Bell" presets, i then added vibrato, long-sustain and other slight onboard tweaks to give it that nice glassy moving drone. If you layer that with a patch from another synth which has filters then you get that cosmic feeling. The original 14-minute version is here: dholl.bandcamp.com/track/the-quickening (download for free by selecting "0" as price).

I like it sounds really good like the sound on Animotions Obsession song at 0.29 which I thought was a voice sound. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnrWZoaqg519Y5I Listening to yours, could well be the bell-flute preset on Animotion, what do you hear on 0.29? Any advice appreciated.
