Hi. Levo -19 and Levociraptor gen1. After maintenance firmware 0.6.6, hardware 3.1 and TCU 3.064 (36.B). Looks/geels like Levociraptor is no more compatible… Is it so? Do i need gen2/gen3 or is this now mission impossible?

Good day, I need assistance with my Trek Rail 7 as the chip keeps cutting out apparently due to the battery heating up when riding in full power mode. Despite not riding in red mode for months, the issue still occurred in purple mode over the weekend. Additionally, there is an orange ring around the unit when the bike is switched on, suggesting the chip may not be compatible with this model. I am unsure how many more times this issue will happen.

I won't modify my bike. It would be simply against the law in Canada. The speed restriction only affects my speed going down hill, and the all i have to do is stop pedaling for the motor not giving restriction, than i can speed-up a little. The real problem is that we are not informed by either Rocky Mountain or its dealers about that restriction before purchase. It is an important information since the bike gives less performance in high speed compared to a regular non-electric mountain bike...

That black metal bracket you took off to get at the wires behind, what sort of torque setting do you need when putting it back on and what is the purpose of that bracket? Does it actually hold the motor on the frame or does it just keep the wires in place?

So many stories about Giant motors being bricked due to speed tampering recently, have you had any feedback on the software unlock with newer syncdrive 2 emtb's with the most recent firmware updates from Giant? Thanks

You can get a power supply from jaycar, $9 add that to the mix (36 dc to 12vdc) add the speedo adaptor from jaycar $22. (12vdc supply required). Wire it up and get exactly the same result! Total price $31! Time to wire up, approx 1hr depending on how neat you are and if you really want plugs, Not phone friendly but can be set up to allow different settings too. 2c Cheers!
