Thanks for the video dude. I have been doing extremely in depth research since I need to have a bilateral inguinal Hernia repair surgery. I’ve had it for about 5 years and finally going to get it fixed. Either going to be laparoscopic or robotic. How’s everything going so far man? I’m an avid bodybuilder and weight lift 5x a week and a little worried about when I can get back to it. Have you been able to get back to 100% weight lifting? I’m thinking of documenting my surgery and everything too lol

Thanks for the download. Tuesday June seventh will be the end of the sixth week since my similar surgery and everything has gone well. I would agree with you that there will be some swelling and bruising in the groin area and it took about three weeks for the bruising to pretty much disappear, Your advice about getting out and walking is important because the doctor doesn't really want you to do very much else for six weeks. Before hand I was nervous, but it wasn't that bad at all and now it is time to get on with normal activity again. Again thanks for the video and I hope things are going well for you also.

Do you think you will go to hard workouts 100% as if your body never had a hernia, or are you always going to be a little hesitant to go all-out?
@wardenxghost91132 жыл бұрын
It's more of a workout smarter type of situation. I got the hernia by doing curl ups incorrectly. Sounds stupid because it is 😂.

I actually got 2 hernias in the same day lol. One was inguinal that was really bothersome, and the other one is umbilical. I got the inguinal one repaired and left the umbilical one untreated because it is very tiny and doesn't bother me whatsoever.
@biggstile2 жыл бұрын
@@wardenxghost9113 No it doesn't sound stupid to me because I like testing my limits being physically active a lot. After surgery, we wouldn't want to go through it again, so I think some people are always going to have a 10% fear of doing their full efforts again.

I'm feeling good! No pain whatsoever, I don't feel the mesh at all. Although my hernia was tiny, so I can't really speak for anyone else that had a larger one who got the mesh as well. The first couple weeks suck, but after that it's really not bad at all. Especially if you're young.

It really makes you realize how much you use your abdominal muscles for just about everything you do. I'm grateful to be healthy once again and on this beautiful planet. I had bilateral laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery two weeks ago. I'm 51 now and I'd left mine for 32 years before plucking up the courage to get them fixed. I've always managed to remain active, fit and healthy and they never bothered me with the support I used to wear. In recent years they'd grown quite big but despite that the surgeon has done a fantastic job. I was off pain meds after day 3, doing a few miles a day on the exercise bike in week 1. Took my dressings and tape off today at the end of week 2. Virtually no pain and no restrictions to light activities. I'm looking forward to getting in the gym in a few more weeks. I think I was probably at the extreme end with the size mine had got, but even so, recovery has been really quick. Anyone thinking about it, don't leave it as long as I did. It should be a really simple and relatively pain free procedure with a couple of days of mild discomfort.

I made the mistake of watching the surgery prior to going. I was terrified myself. Today is my Day 5, and I feel almost normal. I’ve been experiencing pain right above my hip bone on the side the surgery was done. Nothing bad today though.
@wardenxghost91132 жыл бұрын
Lol! I did the same exact thing. The surgery looks worse than it actually is. I've been having pain around my hip ever since the surgery. Nothing really to complain about, but once or twice a day I notice the pain. Happy to hear you're doing better! Hopefully you continue on the road to recovery smoothly! Around the 5th day is when I've started to notice improvement as well.

It's the worst on day 3 then it gets so much better. I'm 100% now back to working out and running again. It takes some time, but if I can do it so can you!
