Nice video, I learned about the test, it seems so easy, I could see that she couldn’t support herself on the left leg and watching her foot, she is using a prosthesis, so it’s clear her difficult in using it.

For Item #8, the instructions state the patient should have their fingers fully extended, but the video shows the patient with a closed fist. Is there a reason for this discrepancy? Does it matter if you use a fist or not?

I can't find anything about what results for this test determine likelihood of falling. If it takes someone more than 15 seconds are they at high risk of fall? Or is it less time than that?

I went for my pt.evaluation for vestibular rehab therapy. The only test performed was a Oculomoter Exam. The therapist performed no other tests and declared that I I have eye tracking problem not a vestibular problem, There was no Berg balance test, no Tinnetti Assessment Tests, or any other assessment performed. I have had prior a balance test performed in a lab with the goggles, and was found to have a vestibular disorder due to a virus in the Labyrinth of the right ear. The Physical therapist gave me eye exercises to do but nothing else. Does this seem like a comprehensive physical therapy assessment to you? What recourse do I have to get proper treatment? Thank you for any advice you can give

If you do this with tape on the floor it is safer and reduces risk of falling over the pipes
@stacycaraway13723 жыл бұрын
but then it's not standardized as stepping over the tube/pipe is part of the test
@sweetgrassyorkies56065 жыл бұрын
How do you set up the square with the pvc pipe so that it is standardized? What is the length of each piece of pipe? Thank you.
@timhenery77185 ай бұрын
The dimensions I'm finding at 18"x18" and 1" tubing. Should cost less rhan $10. Be mindful of which "scheduling" the pipe is. Scheduling is to determine use. Pvc piping is pressure rated

If patient's age from 80 - 99 years takes more than 12 seconds that's increase risk of falls, From 70 - 79 years stopwatch will be around 9.2 seconds, if patient's age 60 - 69 years will be done at 8.1 seconds. I hope u get it ❤️.

Yeah, you're stretching the ligaments around the joint called a capsule. You'll do better if you warm the tissues up a little bit before and then hold at the end range for several minutes. Good luck

Paul Potter Wow, thanks! That definitely isolated the problem -- my right hand can go much farther down than my left. So you think a stretch is the answer, rather than strengthening whatever muscle pulls the palm down in that position. I'll do it for a while and report back.
