4:43 Remember however you should only do this as a absolute last resort when there is no shelter nearby such as if you are on a highway or out in the country side or if you don’t have enough time to get to shelter such as if the tornado is too close for you to get to shelter. That is because there could be the potential for flash flooding and since ditches or gully’s or other low spots are low lying areas it is very easy for them to flood and they very often flood which could thus put you at risk of drowning. Instead if you can do your absolute best to prevent having to seek shelter in a ditch or low lying area such as for example never driving on days when tornadoes are expected to occur whenever possible and instead staying at home and taking shelter there. If you do have to drive then do your absolute best to make sure that you can easily find shelter and get there as quickly as possible such as for example driving on routes that have sturdy buildings or storm shelters close by. When a tornado warning is issued or you see a tornado and there is shelter nearby such as sturdy buildings or storm shelters such as safe rooms and storm cellars then immediately get inside them and then take shelter there. There have been cases where people took shelter in ditches or low lying areas during tornadoes despite there being safer shelter nearby such as buildings and then died via drowning when the ditch or low lying area flooded. One tragic example of this was during the 2013 El Rino tornado in Oklahoma. A family of seven including three adults and four children upon learning about the tornado left the relative safety of their home and instead sought shelter in a nearby drainage ditch as they wrongly believed that the ditch would provide more shelter from the tornado than their home. Unfortunately the drainage ditch then flooded which then swept the family away. Tragically none of them survived as all of them then drowned in the flood waters which then resulted in their deaths. The families deaths could easily have been prevented had they simply decided to remain in their home and seek shelter there. In reality the home was untouched by the tornado meaning that had the family taken shelter in their home they would probably have survived.

Remember in the event someone collapses in a confined space immediately call 911 and even if you understanbly want to rescue the person and istinctly want to go in to rescue them even if they are a fellow coworker or close friend or family member unless you are properly trained or equipped to handle it do not enter the confined space in an attempt to rescue them and if you are not trained or equipped to handle the situation leave it to the trained and equipped professionals such as first responders or trained and equipped co workers and rescue teams. The last thing that you want is too become an additonal victim therfore making things worse. If someone collapses in a confined space always assume that there is either a.poisonous gas or a lack of oxygen in the space until proven otherwise as while you may think that the person may have had a heart attack or fallen into the confined space you never know as for all you know there may be a poisonous gas or a lack of oxygen in the space that caused the person to collapse and could put you and others in danger. Do not rely on your senses to detect poisonous gasses as some gasses such as Carbon Monoxide is odor less meaning you can not smell it and you also can not hear or see it and other gasses can play tricks on your senses luring you into a false sense of security until it is too late to escape from the space and even though hydrogen sulfide smells like rotten eggs so it may seem like you can easily recognize it in time to escape in reality over time h2s deadens your senses such as smell meaning that eventually you will no longer be able to smell or sense it or detect it and even if you recognize it by the time you realize that it is there it may be too late to escape from the space. Instead use a gas monitor to detect poisonous gasses so that you will know what poisonous gasses are in the space. Over 60% of people who die in confined spaces are would be rescuers who upon seeing people collapsed in the space instinctively went into the confined space without proper training or equipment in an attempt to rescue them and tragically all too often once they enter the confined space the would be rescuers are overcome by the same poisonous gasses and lack of oxygen that overcame the people they tried to rescue and become additional victims thus making things worse and tragically all too often would be rescuers die as a result of the poisonous gasses or a lack of oxygen. There have been cases where as many as 5 would be rescuers have been overcome or died trying to rescue collapsed people in confined spaces. Tragically these deaths could have easily been prevented had the rescuers had proper training and equipment to handle the situation. Remember a unplanned rescue will probably be your last.

I want to get a couple extra 2 and 1/2 gallon pressurized water extinguishers. I noted that Amerex makes a reasonably priced one.

Water mist extinguishers are rated for class A and C fires. The water mist extinguisher, not to be confused with a water extinguisher which is rated for class A only, differs in two ways. First, it discharges a fine mist which serves to remove the heat side of the fire tetrahedron, hence it's name, water mist. Second and most important, the water inside is deionized, to make it non-conductive. You see, pure water, or deionized, is actually a very poor conductor of electricity, and tastes pretty bad. The minerals and impurities in water is what makes it a good conductor of electricity. It should be worth noting that when faced with a class C fire, after the power has been shut off, the fire can then be treated as a class A or B fire depending on the fuel Involved. Therefore an extinguisher suitable for C fires will always have either an A-B-C, B-C, OR A-C rating, with the "C" simply meaning the extinguishing agent is non-conductive.
