Hello, you’ve mentioned that you can also do a pre-shop. How can you do a pre-pull during the pre-shop when you find items for you client is the retail stores? That way is much more ready for them to try on and decide what to shop and then continue with the shopping trip? Thanks in advance!

Pre-shopping is meant to cut the time down on a day of the shopping because you took time to see what stores carry at the moment and if they have your client's sizes. Sometimes you can ask a sales associate to keep certain pieces by the register for 24 hours, but only when the store has limited sizes in stock. I hope this helps!

I know for fashion shoots and editorials you have a letter but for a personal styling service when dealing 1 on q with client, how would you go about it at the retail stores? @@cherylalcantara6251 Oh I got it now! I usually do absolutely nothing. I pretent as I shop with a friend. Don't go through Studio Services and just shop like you would normally shop. Whatever your client picks she /he can pay before leaving the store.

1. Educate yourself, then practice as much as you can 2. Create your services, based on what other services are offered in your area 3. Get your name out there: social media, blog posts, Facebook... give free great value tips 4. Network to socialize, make friends, follow up, stay in touch, then eventually get new clients 5. Get a mentor

THANK YOU so much for this information! I really liked the thought about the TIME of the event, I hadn't thought of that before. I also didn't really think about dressing differently if I'm the main speaker (authority) rather than just going to the event to learn. I have an organization I go to events for all the time and they've asked me to speak twice, so I will dress accordingly when I'm the authority!
