As I listened to this and heard you talk about friendship, I could see it in dealing with certain relationships in family, too, like brothers and sisters or anywhere there could be a sibling friendship, even though they are family. Could this be true? I am talking about peers, not parents and their offspring.

I love the message but disagree that animals don't grieve, I've personally seen the devastation on a dog's face when they see another animal die in front of them but I do get the premise of what saying that we were made in God's image and not trying be an argue statement or something, I jokingly say didn't you see free willy the whale was crying. The point of this message was to be in love and help us through hard times so keep up the good work Pastor Rick I really do appreciate the message and sharing on here (: I lost my dad and mom last year so definitely was a message I needed at this time even though this was posted 10 years ago, God definitely presents things to us just when we need it. Hugs to all those going through difficult times!

Green is a nice color on you. Like the sweater Cris took from you. I don't know how to think about that loss is it? I know about spirit's and spiritual warfare. Some demonic spirits go back to the third and fourth generation back. My church studied it. And I had much prayer when the enemy harassed me of course while I was weak. He prays on the weak. But we can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and Jesus is my savior so much more, and my best friend. I try to talk to him about everything. God bless you.

Yes this message may have been over 5 years ago. But this morning May 19th 2024 was Gods perfect timing for me to hear this message at the perfect time for me. I have known about God & was even raised in a Christian family by awesome godly parents which I’m still blessed to have them both still in my life today. I have had many struggles in my life & have even stopped going to church about 2 years ago. Been through a lot in my 49 years on this earth & even have contemplated ending it all a couple times but God has always intervened each time. I have only been recently listening to Pastor Rick & also Daily Hope every morning. It’s amazing how a message that you didn’t expect to hear things you needed to hear from a message that was from 5 years ago. Recently I have started watching some of Pastor Ricks messages on the weekends, yes I have heard about Pastor Rick for many years; never heard him speak before until this year through the Bible app. Pastor Rick you have no idea on how instrumental you have been in my life so far this year. I know I need to get my butt back into my church & I am still in contact with people including the pastor of my church. Pastor Rick your messages are exactly what I need to hear & to help me get back on track & my butt back into church. I thank God for directing me into starting morning devotionals through the Bible app, to starting my mornings with the Daily Hope devotionals through your email & podcasts & on to discovering your KZbin channel. I completely disagree Mother’s Day is to celebrate with my church family, I have been a single mom with two successful young adults by Gods grace, I have been attending saddleback for 17 yrs and now this women comes with a sermon that is completely inappropriate she even said that at the beginning and still she could not keep her opinions for another day Or on another setting She also said she probably be bringing another inappropriate message for Mother’s Day next year, really? Wow I’m glad Kay and Rick never went up there to address the congregation this way The God I know is not a punishing God I no longer live the old ways I’m a new person So I’m I forgiven or not According to her?

Real churches have real pastors who wear the same attire every time they go on the altar. Same reason monks are bald. These “pastors” cannot preach the word of God until they get past their ego. Seems like a nice enough guy and might speak truth but he isn’t ALL IN. All these new age guys and even women preach as if they are channeling the Holy Spirit. This needs a reality check. All respectable religions understand this. Can a public servant serve you publicly in the service he claims without proper attire. Police, fireman, park ranger, Judge etc. can a lawyer represent you in court without a suit and tie. Can a doctor or nurse be in a hospital without scrubs (don’t say sanitary issues are the reason. It’s one but not the only reason) We have lost our way. I’m not here to bash, but I can’t take these tiktok preachers seriously
