I did the vacuum pump delete on my 2014. Converted it to electric vac pump. If that belt driven pump has a bearing failure, it will destroy the engine (since they share engine oil).

Curious why you would use a black primer with a white car and why block a panel that has no filler on it and last why not use an orbital sander to sand the primer.

So do I have to drain coolant and oil? I’m replacing my wife’s turbo and just did an oil change would rather not have to if I can help it
@JordanMoree11 күн бұрын
just coolant. You’ll get a little oil to run out where the feed line is going into the block. You can do a startup and check the level afterward but I never topped mine off.

Hi Jordan. Let's say I installed the kill switch at the cigarette lighter. Now, I want to use a transmitter (remote control) with rolling code to activate first the cigarette lighter. Because, even if the thief finds the kill switch, it won't work. Only when I press the transmitter, the cigarette lighter function is released for use. So first you use the transmitter, than press the cigarette lighter and then you could start the engine. Well, that's only theory in my head because I'm not a specialist. But, how would have to be done these connections and wiring ? Could you try to explain that, please ?!? Or it's material for another KZbin video...😂

@vinobinoruiz702624 күн бұрын
How do the weighted spacers go in on the turbo to manifold bolts ? Is the circles facing up
@JordanMoree24 күн бұрын
You have two washers per bolt. These are special washers that have a bend to them. You put them together so that the outside edges touch. When tightened down they compress against each other. When flipped the inner portion of each washer will touch and outside edge will have a small space. This is the incorrect way.

JEAR DESUS! BRO! This isn't a 1953 Chevy with 3 belt drive pulleys. It's a serpentine belt. There's a MUCH MUCH MUCH easier way to get that belt off. The tensioner pulley armature has a square insert so you can use a 1/2" drive ratchet to rotate it counterclockwise with one hand and remove the belt with the other. ZERO risk of stretching or cutting the belt and you're not Fighting engine compression by rotating the crank.
@5.3TB14 күн бұрын
These use 3 belts. 2 stretch belts (one for the AC, the other for the vacuum pump) and 1 serpentine belt. There is no other way to remove the vacuum pump belt.

The different colors of glue are not to match body color. The yellow glue usually is stronger than the black, which can be helpful in some circumstances such as warmer weather, deeper dents, etc.

Ive been looking into this watching people that know what they are doing. I suggest you actually watch them do it before you go at something that is actually very technical. And the reflection board is essential to use... that is what shows you were to use the knock down. KZbin University is great, use it before you do a video unless you are showing people how not to do something. Not trying to be a smart ass here but I hope people do not watch this and think they can do it by following your techniques.

Looks good but unfortunately that is a really cheaply made Chinese switch that will fail (will not may!) very quickly leaving you stranded. I good quality SPST toggle switch is a much safer choice. Speaking from experience, I used that exact switch on a small 250cc motorcycle to turn on/ off an LED headlight (6volt no less) and after pressing it about 30 times it just exploded at my fingertip at the 31st press!

@JordanMoreeАй бұрын
I’ve been told it can be removed without lowering the subframe however getting everything back in I imagine would be very difficult. The rear transmission mount is going to hit it. It’s not a lot of extra work. 4 bolts

Just lower it. You don’t have to remove it completely. You don’t have to drain the power steering or worry about alignment.

ALWAYS!! place a fuse inline close to a live/power of your wire in case it gets shorted to the ground by accident. You do not want to cause fire or fry any wire in the fuse box will cause any nearby to be shorted as well when the wire melts insulation. I would tap from the fuse side under/inside the box to be more discrete on the installations and would have left the fuse in placed like nothing was tampered..
