Gotta love that late-70s/early-80s Vaseline-on-the-lens technique to get those horns to sparkle! lol

That's my favorite band of all time.Been listening since high school.Love the way he voices the saxes sometimes with the soprano on top.And Kenny Garrett is just awesome. This band will endure for the ages with all the recordings they've made successfully.

… this exactly why I do not rate the drumming of Neil Peart (although I have all of Rush’s records), Buddy does more with his small drum ensemble than Neil can with his cargo load of membranes.

This reminds me of when I was playing in the jazz bands at Roosevelt University & Chicago State University.

I can't hear this without thinking of Dennis playing it during the Buddy Rich Scholarship Concert in 1990. Still have the VHS.

OK- an old memory- WYRS out of Stamford Connecticut, before they became WJAZ and then went away- I always remember this song as their station break theme music. Maybe even this version- but quite some time ago. I listened to them when I was in college- 1982-1986

I grew up at 25 Lincoln Street just around the corner from Milton High School. I graduated in 1968 from Milton High School. I am Paul Aime Rioux. MEMORIES: Hearing the band practice every Saturday morning during football season for the afternoon game. Watching students walking up and down Lincoln Street going to and from MHS. Even though I lived just around the corner, when I got my license, I drive my 1949 Ford to school. I used to play at the construction site of the new annex when I was a kid. New Industrial Arts section. Thank you for taking and sharing your video.
