Arkadaşlar bu sesin size huzur vermesinin nedeni aslında anne karnındaki uğultuya dayanıyor. Anne karnındayken aynen böyle uğultu duyarsınız. Gidin bir bebeğe fön makinesi dinletin , uyuyacaktır. Bu ses de bu yüzden huzur veriyor.

the braking force shown in the clip is about 3800nm give or take, depending on what retarder the truck was delivered with of course. The braking effect is absoloutely phenomenal considering the truck and trailer weighs around 50 tonnes or more.

This is not a retarder. This ain't an engine brake. This is an exhaust brake. All 3 different things.

engine brake is a terms that can be called for both exhaust brake and jake brake

an engine brake a jake brake and an engine retarder are the same things. a transmission brake and an exhaust brake also exist. exhaust brakes don’t have any popping sounds it’s just blocking the output of the exhaust a few inches off the turbo. transmission brakes use a system that slows the flywheel down which will slow the gear down and slow the engine down. the engine brake, engine retarder and jake brake (all three are the same thing) alters the operation of the engine's exhaust valves so that the engine kinda works as a power absorbing air compressor which will slow the engine down and obviously while in gear will slow the truck down to a point.

@Kichiro "The true engine brake (Jake brake) tends to be very loud in operation. Exhaust brakes tend to be quieter, but can still cause more noise. Retarders act downstream on the driveline; they seem to be more popular in Europe. They also tend to be much quieter outside the truck." Retarders are mechanical and don't make "engine noise", but instead a high pitched mechanical noise. I guess the confusion here comes from the fact that Scanias use both the retarder and the exhaust brake at the same time on the hardest retarder setting. Notice in the beginning of the video you can hear only the retarder when it's switched on for a second, then off, without the exhaust brake. later it's put on level 3 and the exhaust brake engages with it. So it turns out I was both right and wrong at the same time.
