Wow!!!! Great great video!!! I have also a Vt600c 1998 and I’m restoring it after 15 years of completely stop in a garage. I would like to go into your steps you did in this video. I’m not sure what polish and wheels you’re using (you said black, brown, and so on..). Can you guide me on this? Maybe some links to buy them (Amazon?) and how to start I have my engine carters both side very “old” even if I think they were chrome. Waiting for your comments and… thaaaaaaanks!!!!!! Pako

Thank you for pointing that out, and I apologize for the mistake in my video. You're absolutely right! I just went to check and the oil filter screws are torx, not hex. I guess I got very lucky as I didn't notice this during this maintenance and filming. I really appreciate your feedback because it helps me improve the quality of my content. I want to provide accurate information to my viewers, and I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by my error. Moving forward, I'll make sure to triple-check all the details. @zigmoto Жыл бұрын
Hey! Glad the videos are helpful. The mix screw comes already with everything setup on it. Sorry I definitely didn't mention or show that. TJ has a video of his dual carb rebuild kit and here is when he shows the mix screw: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKPJfGqbjayMbtk. Also if you check his shop page and zoom in on the screw you will notice it has the rubber and metal o rings. See here: shoptjbc.com/products/jet-kits-for-honda-vt600-87-08-and-vt750-98-08?variant=22624438190138). Hope this helps :)

Very good fit. I propose to put black silicone between the frame and the aluminum flat bar after painting the frame or glue for car windows before painting if it is to be permanent.
@zigmoto
@zigmoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not 100% sure yet. I have to see other parts close to it to see if permanent is possible. If not I will be most likely using rubber between the bracket and frame to reduce friction and vibration.

You might be able to. The headlight on the 2014 is different so you will need to check all specs and match the differences but the same approach might work. Just check every details prior cutting anything I guess.

Did not warm engine before draining oil?
@zigmoto
@zigmoto Жыл бұрын
Good question! I actually did not. I normally would for other bikes that have the filter outside. However this bike has the filter inside which means you can’t really escape getting oil on your gloves. If you warm up then you have a high chance of getting burn unless you own some special gloves. So I decided not to warm up the engine for that specific reason. Also the debate of hot vs cold engine for oil change has been going on forever and so far there are pros and cons for both and not much difference at the end. Hope that helps.

Hi there, I'm interested to know what type of foglight are you using and if they are plug-and-play.
@zigmoto
@zigmoto Жыл бұрын
Hey! Sure thing. These are the Fenix Cree900 High Intensity LED Light Kit. It comes with the 2 lights and a plug and play wire harness that includes an on/off switch. I have had these since 2015 (were on one of my previous bike before). Definitely recommending them. For mounting on any MV you can use the Denali fender mount kit that’s what I’m using on my Dragtser.

@zigmoto
@zigmoto Жыл бұрын
This strut is definitely not meant to act as a suspension for sure. This makes that bike somewhat like a hard tail. Very common and used in many different models. But yes probably the best would be to go for a real hard tail kit.

Can I ask for Dragster 800rr’s Add Oil Capacity?Thanks Sorry for my poor english
@zigmoto
@zigmoto Жыл бұрын
Hey! It is around 2.5 liters. However don’t take my word for it as it all depends on how much oil is removed from the bike. So check the oil dipstick to ensure you are in between the two marks of the oil level. Hope this helps 🙂

You think if i use the whole Fender without cutting It and use a sissy bar would be able put a seat on the Fender for a passenger?
@zigmoto
@zigmoto 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! I think the first thing to look at is the clearance of the tire and the bars. I don’t think the OEM front fender is wide enough so the bars would interfere with the rear tire (if you have the bars and fender that’s pretty quick to check). In term of withstanding the weight of a person, that’s a tricky one. The OEM fender was not design for this type of use. If it was me I would still try and worst case I would just buy an aftermarket one. When I mean try, it is basically getting it installed and tested in the garage sitting and bouncing on it. I recommend filming when testing so that you can review the video and see if any movement or bending happens while sitting on it.
