“Stickin’ it to us” is an incredible song, wow. As is often the case, you combine a sublime melody with heavy depth. Really well done, it touched me. "A fire inside" is also very well made, just a little less beautiful and deep in my eyes, but great all the same. "Silly fool that I am" has a super positive vibe, even if the theme is serious, with this funk beginning and this chorus which installs an unexpected sweetness which also touched me. I really liked the last two, especially the last one, but I admit that throughout the mix I wanted to go back to the beginning to listen to "Stickin' it to us", which I did by the way 😁. I'm sorry but I was sick the last few days and I haven't been able to listen to music much.

@@ecclecticeddiek4362 Even if I have an idea, why did you named it "expansion"?
@ecclecticeddiek4362Ай бұрын
@@TribelessJC EXPANSION An expansion of knowledge and true understanding comes from experience in life ,from both good and bad and we should learn from both, as humans i think we absorb the bad and let it become something else, at the same time we yearn for the good as if it is due, and resent when it is not there or does not come. In other words we don't learn while we are shackled with want, and to be free from such allows for the expansion of self understanding, i think your words portray this well but also the fact that we are "allowed" to feel free as long as we stay within the boundaries of what others have decided .The ups and downs of life may seem random but all is set to test us, to change us and hopefully lead us to the true sense of free, the understanding of the self, a realisation in some manner, the power of hindsight a tool we use.. there's more to your words than this but my words fail me, I can only comment from the listeners point of view so i may be off from the writers intent but expansion just seemed fitting. Hope you fathom what I'm trying to say 😊😊 Luck to you m8 👍👍
@TribelessJCАй бұрын
@@ecclecticeddiek4362 Thank you Eddie. I think you understood the gist of what I wanted to express, even if I could discuss each point in detail, I think we are generally in agreement. In fact, in everything I write I try to reveal, to myself first, the complexity of things, how contradiction hides in all the corners of the self and even more those that the ego hides from itself - even. As soon as we dig into a subject and if we are honest, we are obliged to change our certainties. Even a subject as seemingly simple as freedom, and which I have only sketched out, is full of pitfalls. Likewise, I have only barely touched on the consanguineous relationship between errors and freedom. My intention was also to show that when we do not reject the complexity of a subject, surprising and counterintuitive solutions emerge, like the limits that our current society pushes us to transgress in the name of individual rights: if we think carefully, the individual cannot flourish in the long term without the initiations that they impose on us, because they break our survival programs, and we can only survive by developing our consciousness. I also wanted to tell you that I have listened to your piece many times, and that beyond the fact that the title is perfect, as a synthesis of my idea therefore that consciousness can really expand only when we limit the impulses of the body (and I say this without assuming an autonomous spiritual background), and that it is the true expansion of the being, I think it is great. You know I have a lot of things to say, because thinking is my nature, but I have no desire to preach or pretend that I have the truth, and precisely the disturbing music that you have constructed and the nervous prosody of the voice you have chosen adds to the text, which is incisive, a hesitant dimension, and we feel that the speaker is not there to teach a lesson, that he speaks with his heart, almost in discomfort, which puts him in the existential mud, not on his Olympus, disembodied. In fact I find your work really perfect.

@@ecclecticeddiek4362 Yes Eddie, I am always impressed by the quality of your work, by your productivity too. Yes, like you I create as I feel without trying to respond to fashions or expectations, even if I forbid myself from anything, even from making commercial music. There is nothing worse for me ("for me", I specify, others do what they want😅) than fixed ideas, ideology, this superficial and thoughtless pretension in the definitive sense. How can we create if we are full of certainties? Like you, I like to pass everything through the creative channel, from insatiable rage to infinite sweetness, creation being this place where we can experience the world in all its complexity without risking our life, embrace all our affects and thoughts, projecting them into emergent forms and nourishing the world in return for the benefits it gives us, alchemizing the horrors it contains in melodic harmony. Humble in the real world and pretentious in the creative world, the balance of extremes. I also like the idea that, as you say, it is the brain that rains on the paper, and not an above-ground mind filled with eternal truths. Maybe you didn't say it in that sense, but that's how I see creation: I feed my brain, my sublime internal AI which records everything and constantly produces simulations of reality and syntheses of all kinds (just look at the delusions she offers us in dreams😆), of thoughts, of affects, then I find the experimental conditions in order to let it express itself freely. I am happy if not that my feedback is dear to you, yours too, even if I have not published for a while, Certainly I have projects with seditionaudio which aborted and I am in an album project with Observing System that you know, but above all it is because I am eternally dissatisfied, I redo the singing tracks constantly; and by redoing them I modify the melody, and the asymptotic cycle begins again. But these acts are regenerative and enjoyable, even if the permanent judgment that the artist undergoes is quite exhausting, the fact of always having to give the best possible quality, as well as the fact of not having published anything on my channel for two months...😁

It's superb once again Eddie. I have often had the impression, but this time it jumped out at me, that two major influences have shaped your musical style, and that English pop is not one of them (probably because you are not English. ..). The traditional music of your ancestors that we have already talked about, but also the American sound, very folk and even country (and I know, hip hop too😄). I say that but I thought I read once that the country actually came from Ireland or Scotland so we stay on your land... otherwise the solos are very emotional. Too bad you didn't write the lyrics because there are always one or two words that escape me.

I Think you have just summed me up my friend👍👍 , I love most music genres but do veer towards Celtic tones and tune into my Scottish ancestry, those songs always told a story, maybe that's why I inject some story or message into what I write. Fair play, you get me thinking☺☺As far as the folk music, the Scots-Irish went to America to carve out a new life free from English rule (taxation etc..)and took their instruments with them, they headed up mountains such as the appalachians so as to be far away from people and prying eyes so they could set up their whisky stills and be left alone. so was born the music.
