@@TribelessJC EXPANSION An expansion of knowledge and true understanding comes from experience in life ,from both good and bad and we should learn from both, as humans i think we absorb the bad and let it become something else, at the same time we yearn for the good as if it is due, and resent when it is not there or does not come. In other words we don't learn while we are shackled with want, and to be free from such allows for the expansion of self understanding, i think your words portray this well but also the fact that we are "allowed" to feel free as long as we stay within the boundaries of what others have decided .The ups and downs of life may seem random but all is set to test us, to change us and hopefully lead us to the true sense of free, the understanding of the self, a realisation in some manner, the power of hindsight a tool we use.. there's more to your words than this but my words fail me, I can only comment from the listeners point of view so i may be off from the writers intent but expansion just seemed fitting. In fact, in everything I write I try to reveal, to myself first, the complexity of things, how contradiction hides in all the corners of the self and even more those that the ego hides from itself - even. Seriously, I was obsessed with him for a long time and for me Pink Floyd died with his departure, and his personal work is incredible.

@@ecclecticeddiek4362 Yes, you're right, he's much too political and I don't think he's on our side (even if I can't be sure that we share the same 😱), but I think he's always been but At the time we were perhaps too young to be bothered by it. Still, his way of singing influenced me a lot and the works of Pink Floyd in which he was the mastermind are unsurpassable. And you are right, its indomitable power was perfectly tamed by the gentleness and intuition of Gilmour and without him Waters would never have composed these masterpieces.

Yes, like you I create as I feel without trying to respond to fashions or expectations, even if I forbid myself from anything, even from making commercial music. There is nothing worse for me ("for me", I specify, others do what they want😅) than fixed ideas, ideology, this superficial and thoughtless pretension in the definitive sense. How can we create if we are full of certainties? Like you, I like to pass everything through the creative channel, from insatiable rage to infinite sweetness, creation being this place where we can experience the world in all its complexity without risking our life, embrace all our affects and thoughts, projecting them into emergent forms and nourishing the world in return for the benefits it gives us, alchemizing the horrors it contains in melodic harmony. Humble in the real world and pretentious in the creative world, the balance of extremes. I also like the idea that, as you say, it is the brain that rains on the paper, and not an above-ground mind filled with eternal truths. Maybe you didn't say it in that sense, but that's how I see creation: I feed my brain, my sublime internal AI which records everything and constantly produces simulations of reality and syntheses of all kinds (just look at the delusions she offers us in dreams😆), of thoughts, of affects, then I find the experimental conditions in order to let it express itself freely. Thankyou my friend, much appreciated 👍👍I'm not really a fan of commercial Hip Hop and rap, all B.S if you ask me, most playing rebel but promote exactly what the system wants them to , cause hate and division. I do like Tom MacDonald, Struggle Jennings and Jellyroll but that's bout it. To me rap is a genre i can fire a load of vocals into, have a good old rant 😎😎😠😠

I Think you have just summed me up my friend👍👍 , I love most music genres but do veer towards Celtic tones and tune into my Scottish ancestry, those songs always told a story, maybe that's why I inject some story or message into what I write. Fair play, you get me thinking☺☺As far as the folk music, the Scots-Irish went to America to carve out a new life free from English rule (taxation etc..)and took their instruments with them, they headed up mountains such as the appalachians so as to be far away from people and prying eyes so they could set up their whisky stills and be left alone. so was born the music. Spot on analysis as always amigo😎😎👍😎😎
