Regardless of the protocol, the APL switch functions as the black channel for safety communication. Profisafe, a protocol standardized for up to SIL3 (IEC61508) safety communication, can work with Profinet communication. Profinet can be utilized alongside Ethernet-APL topologies. You're very welcome. Thanks very much for your question. Here is our answer: You can get as many laser lines as you have mirror sides. We currently offer two versions of our product, each with a different four-sided mirror. This is the best compromise between speed and field of view. One of these versions comes with different inclinations of the individual mirror planes as you see in the video. This way, you get four laser lines. In the other version, all planes have the same inclination. This means you get only one laser line but with four times higher sampling rates. We hope this explanation helps you. #AutomationPassion

Generally speaking, the sensors work through glass. It is crucial to optimally position the reading head towards the glass to avoid any reflections. Hallo Max, ob Personenschutz gefordert ist hängt von einigen Faktoren ab und muss im Zuge der Risikobeurteilung bewertet werden. Solche Faktoren können sein: - Bereich zugänglich für Personen - Gewicht und Geschwindigkeit des AMRs - Welche Fahrrichtung soll abgesichert werden? - … Es ist möglich einen LiDAR für Navigation und Avoidance einzusetzen. Allerdings muss hierbei beachtet werden, dass der Scanner, wenn Personenschutz gefordert ist, eine am Boden liegende Person zu erkennen muss; Deshalb wird er in diesem Fall mit schräger Blickrichtung zum Boden, relativ bodennah verbaut. Das schränkt das Sichtfeld deutlich ein. Ob die so gewonnen Messdaten ausreichend zum Navigieren sind muss geprüft werden. Wir hoffen, das beantwortet Deine Fragen? 😊 #AutomationPassion

The ultrasonic L2 sensor series from Pepperl+Fuchs is not based on an Arduino but is a self-developed, industrial sensor series. All functions explained and shown in the video refer to Pepperl+Fuchs L2 ultrasonic sensors only. To set some switch points will for sure also be possible using an Arduino and its accessories. However, the code to do so has to be developed by yourself. The basic principle is that you teach the sensor a certain distance value (coming from the ultrasonic module) as switch point(s). Afterwards, you have to refer your current distance value to your set switch points in order to find out what the status of your switching output has to be. We hope this helps. #AutomationPassion

Hello! 👋 We heard back from our experts: When you insert a module like “32 Byte DIO (0-31B)” from the hardware catalog (GSDML file) into your hardware config, a data field with the accordant size (in this case 32 bytes) is allocated in your PLC memory at a certain address. As an example, let's say the address range in your PLC is byte 50 to 81. Within this data block, all the information from all ASi devices are mapped consecutively (two devices per byte), starting with the devices with A- or full addresses in the first 16 byte (bit 50.0 in our example) followed by the B-devices starting at byte 16 or in our example byte 66. The order of the addresses hereby is 1-0 - 3-2 - 5-4 and so on. Please have a look at the manual of our gateway for an overview table. In our example, input 4 of ASi device 1A could therefore be found at address 50.3, while input 1 of device 5B could be found at address 68.0. Does this help you? Dafür geben wir gerne eine Buchempfehlung weiter: „Fahrerlose Transportsysteme“ von Günter Ullrich und Thomas Albrecht (fts-fibel.de).
