Why do they have to scream like that? Cant enjoy the song :/

You said Dave could write, play guitar, sing and scream and play guitar again. Kurt also made all this. Have you ever heard Nirvana? And your argument is invaldi. You can't just say you're right for now reason.

Not really. I should not be responding to someone who put random letters for their name. And i defenitley dont think you know what you are talking about...

there is a huge difference between dave's music and kurt's. Kurt's was doing alternative rock/grunge, dave is doing alternative rock/POSTgrunge.

Nirvana sucks. The only good thing to come from it was Kurts death and Dave Grohl.

@erol1234513 жыл бұрын
@deathcore593 I really like Dave with all his die hard rocker attitude and his high skills of high tempo music and really hate these comparisons of mustaine vs james, eddie vh vs tommy lee , kiske vs deris things they all look childish or sports fanatic. BUT R U F...KING KIDDING? KURT COBAIN WAS A LEGEND. YOU CAN ONLY COMPARE HIM TO OTHER MUSIC GODS LIKE JIM MORRISON OR ROGER WATTERS. As I said I like Dave he is a good musician.

In the public's eye, Dave may always be cemented with the other two, but lets look at it from Dave's POV. He only knew them for 3 and a half very short years. Nirvana makes up the smallest part of Dave's career, but its the one most people remember or know him by because of those two and a half years (9/91-4/94) of publicity with "two strangers he had just met."
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
..maybe because its "cool" or "touching" or whatever. Its just not true. 30 people obviously dont know what the song Friend of a Friend is about apparently. 3 years is enough time to become good friends, but they werent AS close as some people think. Dave Grohl fucking says it himself. He felt like an outsider because those two GREW UP TOGETHER. DAVES FROM WASHINGTON, DC, 3,000 MILES FROM SEATTLE. Dave only knew them for A YEAR before Nevermind blew up and the rest is history.
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
Nobody takes into account each band member's personal lives or history. Dave and Kurt JUST MET EACHOTHER and a year later they exploded. Dave has said he left all his best friends, hes from the east coast, to go up to the Northwest and join Nirvana. It was all a blur he says. He was extremely lonely and didnt have much of a connection with the other two outside the music. You read the quote I posted? People just think Dave and Kurt HAVE to be best friends because Kurt died and Dave continued..
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
@3fighter You dont read enough. Google "fooarchive" Every interview Dave has done since the Foo Fighters started. Dave has said over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, the same things about being in Nirvana. You really think the nicest man in rock is going to downtalk being in Nirvana? The man is not in an easy position being the unexpected spokesperson for the band just because he continued on making music (and it wasnt even his band or childhood friends).

"I don't think I've ever told anyone this, but there were times when Kurt was really unhappy with the way I played drums. I could hear him talking about how much he thought I sucked. Google is wonderful people. You learn alot.

There was never much of a deeper connection outside of the music. Krist and Kurt had a legendary lifetime connection. "Those guys were soul mates. They'd been through so much together, from Aberdeen (in Washington state) to the success of Nevermind. They f**king shared everything. I never really shared that moment with them because I came from such a different place." Dave also said he was never really accepted in the band, because Kurt wasn't satisfied with his musical skills.
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
Former member of Nirvana, drummer Dave Grohl has recently confessed that while he played with Nirvana he suffered of loneliness and felt like an outcast, because of the special relationship between frontman Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. He told Rolling Stone magazine, "When I joined Nirvana I was the fifth or sixth drummer - I don't know if they'd ever had a drummer they were totally happy with. "And they were strangers.
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
31 people apparently need to pick up on reading. Dave and Kurt best friends? thats laughable. Kurt was the focal point of Nirvana, thats undeniable but just because Dave continued on doesnt mean he was best buddies with him, and thats probably why he hates answering so many questions about it. He knew Kurt for THREE YEARS folks. THREE YEARS.
@PersonMister14 жыл бұрын
@deathcore593 Um.... BEST FRIENDS? smh. If you know a single thing about those two, you'd realize that Kurt's best friend was Krist, you know, this CHILDHOOD friend? Dave LEFT his best friends behind in LA when his band Scream broke up. Dave met those guys when he was 20 years old, and he always talks about them being "these two guys" he just met. Friend of a Friend isnt exactly about how great of buds he was with them either. Dave and Kurt's feuds are well documented (one compliment)

One of the better performances, also because of the crowd, because some of the shows the crowd just stands there staring at the band but now they feel the energy which keeps the party going!
