why didnt you draw your electrical layout in sketchup?
@sketchupprotutorialsАй бұрын
You only need to set up the visual for the way the house looks in sketchup. You actually draw the lines and outlet locations and everything inside of Layout.

This is in Sketchup using the tools available in the program. It is currently owned by Trimble.

Thanks for the instruction on creating a roof, what would be the process of creating a cathedral ceiling in a portion of the house such as a great room. Picking up a lot of tips and tricks along the way.

Just creating a profile like you did in this one is a great way. Create the profile of the angle and look and just push/pull it across

Really enjoying your approach to using SketchUp in creating the floor plan. I have been using SketchUp for about 3 months and learning the tips and tricks along the way for providers like yourself. I just want you to know that I really appreciate you taking the time to teach this on going class.

Thank you. I try to show my students the easiest way to do things and just what works in general for me. But I am glad that the videos are helping

Can you tell me what book you reference in the start of this video?
@sketchupprotutorials3 ай бұрын
Sorry I didn't get back with you. So the book I got these plans from are from the "Plan Sets for Blueprint Reading Exams" I originally got them from Pitsco.com but they are originally published by Hearlihy.com. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to actually find the book on their website anymore, so I am not sure if they are still selling it or if its available to be found anywhere. It was written by Paul Ross Wallach.

is there a place we can access the book where you have these plans?

Thank you for all your videos, I am finding them very useful, however my line tool is only straight lines, I can not get it to give me the 'handle' to start off , what am I doing wrong??????
@sketchupprotutorials10 ай бұрын
With the Line tool inside of Layout, if you click and drag first, you will get your handles. The handles act as a guide, to where your line is going to head to first before it curves. It acts just like the pen tool in software like Photoshop.

Sorry but I wasted 12 mins watching it and there was no electrical plan tutorial
@sketchupprotutorials10 ай бұрын
Watch the next video. I had to split it into two videos for my class
@augustina412210 ай бұрын
@@sketchupprotutorialswell it is confusing that you have 2 videos, for the future reference, i believe you should call it part 1 and part 2 if there is a sequence of electrical plan, since i do not need to watch whole tutoria

Thanks for posting this. What version of SketchUp are you using? I can't find the Shape Style in the Default Tray.
@sketchupprotutorials Жыл бұрын
You should be able to go under Window in the menu bar and adjust the panels you see on your left, similar to SketchUp Pro. If its not under window, i believe there is an option for it. I made this video around 2 years ago but had to recently reupload it to a new channel. So that is why you see some differences in there.
