Soon as I hear "God" at that stage I have to leave, appreciate the help but this is a real situation, real life divorce. Cant rely on a fairy-tale, need real tangible assistance not platitudes and invisible deities

God is real for your real life situation. There is no fairytale. I’ve been doing this work for 19 years and every group that I’ve held, I have seen genuine healing and hope in people to move forward and find a new life. God sees your trauma and sees your pain and it is this real to him as it is to you. This is not due to any program or any person. It is due to the realness of God who reaches through his community to help us get through this nightmare. The only real fantasy is believing that there is hope without him. Thank you for reaching out because there are others who feel the same way. You have just inspired my next Friday night live tomorrow night. Stay posted.

I am so very sorry for what you’re going through. I hope you are getting Support and working on your healing. Sounds like that would be a lot to let go of. The next support group begins Sept 10th. I hope you’re also working with a therapist to work through all of this. That is a lot, my dear friend.

@@Katheybatey thanks I went out in nature today, something I've always loved to do but looking back on it I would have to drag my wife to go, im starting to reflect that basically unless something costed money to do she didn't want to have nothing with it I started dating my wife at 16 she was 17, im Italian and she is Arabian and Muslim, her parents came her from isreal/Palestine So she was first generation born here She has two older sisters that married arabiac Muslim men like tradition And one step back I got jumped by a group of Arabic kids in high-school because they didn't like the a white person was dating a Muslim girl ( this is in no way slandering a whole religion or people because of some bad seeds) Then her father found out we were dating when I was 18 and she 19 He literally tried to pay me to go away and I declined so he locked her up at home for a year Then he released her I met him and said im still in love with her and asked her permission to marry her A HARD NO so then I started studying to speak Arabic and study the Quran I ended up in a group at a local mosque as I live in Chicago there's lots Any way the group had two want to be coverts like me and and 4 young men who wanted to become basically the equivalent of a preacher for the mosque I ended up reading the new and old testament of the Bible and the Quran and studied deep into religion After a year I converted and finally her father said yes but no wedding as he felt his daughter was a disgrace Mind you her two older sister had huge weddings and got like 20 k from him to start their life Ny point being I was ride or die for her She acts as if she gas not one bit of sympathy for my broken heart She had been have an affair past few months

My highschool sweetheart wants to divorce we been together 24 years and married 17 we are 40. She started dressing exrra sexy 4 months ago then started not coming home after work and sometines not all night Then few weeks ago on fathers day served me with divorce papers and wants the house we own together 100percent and we have a 15 and 16 year old daughters I feel like i want to die ive akready dealt with depression and anxiety and i cant even get out of bed I cant believe were not going to grow old together I was so s9 excited go live our golden years together Im ready to leave this world for real I have no support, i had 3 brothers and two have past and my mom and dad are passed and the one brother left we dont talk 😢

38 years if I didn’t have a relationship my protected my healer my comforter. He just told me 2 months ago he wanted a divorce. After months of silent treatment. I said ok. He hasn’t pursued anything. Still in house. He’s doing whatever he wants. He has no money that’s why he is staying. Now I have to pursue matters I want to get on with my life. Emotions all over the place.🙏🙏🙏

From what I understand, God says we can’t remarry after divorce.

There are several factors to consider on this. Don't underestimate that God can give you a wonderful life as a single person, but there are things to consider if you do find someone who you wish to marry. There are different ways of viewing abandonment and viewing death for remarriage to be considered. Bottom line, this is an individual struggle with you and God and understanding the depth of his word. There is more to "God hates divorce" then is being totted by many in the church. God loves your soul first of all. Hope that helps.

After 26 years of marriage, mine just ended on Aug. 22nd of this year. It been four months and she’s already talking to someone. I believe he was waiting in the wings anyway. From a job she had about 4 years ago when they were working together. Anyway, I shouldn’t be surprised, she’s had at least 6 encounters with other men I know of, not all of them sexual in nature, but my point is, it was infidelity. She just changed her Facebook status to single yesterday, so I’m experiencing the slow pull aways. Now I’m not going to act as if I didn’t try to get her back, because I did, but it didn’t take me long to figure that wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I wanted to just forgive each and move on together, but for her (yes,the one who had been forgiven the most), she just didn’t want it anymore. “Not right now, she said”, like I know what the future holds or something. I do not have a support group, but I think I might need one.

Is this mediation process the same across all the US? Do all courts use this process? My first court date says pre-trial. There has been no mediation prior to this.. just trying to determine what's going to happen at this pre-trial?

The laws and procedures will differ between states and even counties. A pretrial hearing in Michigan is an opportunity for early resolution of the case or to get clarity or to narrow the issues of the divorce. It may be used to to establish time lines for discovery, witness and exhibit lists, and for motions and other hearing dates.

How/where do you begin to find/develop a reputable network of experts you can trust when starting over in a new city? Especially a financial expert…they don’t seem interested in talking with a 62 year old starting over from scratch😔Also, is there a link for your book?
