Well first off those drums are called timbalis...secondly I can remember when her and her father Pete Escovido hit the scene in the 70s..later Shiela E broke away from Latin salsa and joined up with Prince ..does anyone remember that..😊

they give a fantastic show, i saw them in oakland over 20 years ago and they rocked it like this, great energy, great percussions, great set! they can all wail like hell on the drums. and i've been in love with sheila e for almost 40 years.

It may be sexist, but as a drummer myself, Sheila E. is the only female percussionist I take seriously. Of course, throughout her career she has supplemented her talents through her voice and being wonderful to watch on stage. A great performer at all times, she has never disappointed. More power to her.
