Look at those jagged cuts that stick out. That really helps the swell bend and line up. Along the westcoast our sandbars have really been shifted as well as a ton of huge shells. Feet of shells over top of the sugar sand. Beaches that never had shells before now are full of them. We've got a new inlet in Sarasota county between siesta key and venice called midnight pass, that was once an open pass 40 years ago that a storm filled in with sand. Im excited to check it out this winter on a northwest swell. We got the rafael swell today and It Showed Up on those news sand bars. Its like the Hurricanes took the sand offshore and dumped it on the beach. Now the waves come through in deeper water and hit the shallow sanbars near shore and heave over better... Looks like by morning itll still be incoming on the Emerald. its been the best cane season for surf over here since 05.

@@Surferjoefwb correct. If one is a surfer one would live where there are good waves a good portion of the time. I am well versed in waves in the east coast. Obx is the best bet. Surfed up and down the east coast extensively and nothing can touch OBX. Difficult to live there . I'm not hating on your town man.
