Check your Keyboard for rotten foams. You can use it only with your Fingertipp. Start only with graphikcard and Winchester Controller. Remove all Others. APC Board ist connected to daughterbord (Slot 1) next the Grafikcard and in Slot 8 the Winchester Controller.

@@vlk1967 my keyboard leds stay on 01101 which is a fault code but I don't have the service information for the APC to find out what it means.

@@redfiat Check the SIMM modules, should 120ns, an the connection to the holder. Max. 2MB (8x256kB).

@@vlk1967 thanks, only has 2 simms installed, swapped them around and got a different error code 0 01100 instead of 0 01101 but still not output on the serial port or screen. not sure what the serial port settings are though. I tried various baud rates but got nothing, apart from and odd character that looks like noise when I turn on the computer

Writing Winchester, that's curious. Any example I ever saw of a Winchester drive had a platter much larger than an 8" Quantum Q2040. :)

I remember when these were the new thing, replacing the 8” floppy that had less than half the capacity as I recall. Thanks for bringing back the memories to this old Wang 2200 programmer.

Do you happen to know if the spindle knurl wheel bolt at 0:39 is m7 or m8 thread?

It is M8x1 rh. Only spindles of the MK1 have this feature. The later one are without the thread.

@@vlk1967 I have the mk2, which is the exact same body, same black everything, but with exposed bars behind the tailstock. And for some reason it doesn't seem to have the thread. Next models have a hole in the spindle to be able to remove the chuck when its tight. But on mine, I have absolutely no idea. Seems they removed it on the 2nd and brought it back in a different fashion on the nexts.

@@ikkiiiieee the thread is only for use with this old drill chuck, without key. The spring loaded jaws where adjusted with the steelrod and the knurl wheel. If you have a drill chuck with key, the thread is unnecessary.

I like to be able to go slow and have torque still. Idk, but make turning bolts,screws easier. When thread by hand u turn slow.

Hi, the goal was to increase the gap 0.15mm on the mandrel of an hollow die. The tool is a 3.00 mm, special by me prepared, "Endmill" driven manually by a "Mannesmann GTV 1000" up to 100000rpm, mountet on a DIY bridge.

The default display controller in the emulator is a first generation display controller -- eg, 7011 (80x24 CRT controller). This display controller doesn't have the box graphics overlays nor the alternate character sets that the game expects. You need to configure the emulator to use the MXD terminal mux, which then has 1 to 4 attached intelligent terminal emulators - that terminal emulation understands the escape codes to use the alternative graphics set and the display attributes (blinking, bright, reverse video) and box graphics. In the menu bar, pick the "Configure" menu item, remove the keyboard and CRT controller I/O devices at 001 and 005, then create a MXD terminal mux at /000. Hitting "OK" will cause a reboot, and then everything should work OK.

Hi! I just found a WLTC in our garage in great condition. I plugged it in and tried to turn it on but got black lines one the screen but no lights or anything. Any idea on what could be going on? I haven’t tried to open it yet

It runs, but in screen appears "Invalid configuration information - please run WWSETUP program" and "Diskette drive 1 seek failure". Could you help me, please? Very nice! Do you have working equipment that can read Wang formatted tapes? I have some streaming cassette tapes and some QIC cartridges that I'd love to have captured. I have reason to think there is some really interesting stuff on them.

Version 3.0 of wangemu was just released a day or two ago. It can emulate MVP OS and the intelligent terminals, which means @MARTIAN, PAC-MAN, and some other games can be played now.
