Good video, apart from not telling us to put it in Reverse to hold the lockout cable up. I found an easier way to get it back up than going under the car. If you pull the cable out of the shifter assembly and then get some nylon line tie it below the little steel bit where the hole is you can feed it out the top of the sifter assembly pull it up into place and then lock it out in Reverse.

Hold the camera still when you are showing something please. I bought the Vxscan V4 off scamazon because it has a adjustable pressure regulator. The Ancel3000 doesn't have a way to keep the pressure low enough for evap systems. The Vxcan has a small regulator like on a gas grill. I see both have come down in price. The Vxscan is around 120 now, damn deflation. One thing I had to factor in was accessories. I ordered some plastic caps (Ancel) and silicon plugs (Smsease) to get more versatility out of it. Some smoke machines come with them.

Easiest way to dial in those regulators on the little compressors is keep the button pressed and air flowing then turn your dial to the psi you want and it should hold it.

Amen. My riding mower had a 1" nut on the chaiin case that just would not loosen so I guessed it had threadlocker on it. Reading up on the subject of Threadlocked Nut Removal I saw your video and I also saw one about using heat. My grass was growing fast so I opted for the heat version. After spending 20 bucks on a torch and fuel that method did not work for me. So I picked up a quart of acetone and rigged up a way to keep the nut wet with it for a couple hours. OFF came the nut, easypeasy.

Perchloroethylene is an AWESOME solvent for oil, grease, etc. It is a 2-carbon chain ("ethyl"), with a double bond between the carbons ("ene" means double bond). Perchoro means every binding site on the carbon chain has a chlorine. "Per" means "completely" in chemistry speak. So every binding site on the carbons has a chlorine. Hence, it has 4 chlorines. Historically it was (is ?), used as dry cleaning solvent. It evaporates quickly, leaving no residue. It is very heavy. Buy the container that weighs the most per volume to get the highest concentration "perc."

When I put mine back I noticed a small opening on both sides for the gasket between the oil pan and the fly wheel. The gasket is in line with the holes but won't go any farther up. Will that be a problem? The openings are located on either side behind the brackets

Interesting set of videos. So, I have a low mileage wrecked subaru which still has good bushings, and a high mileage same year with all bushings gone...I'm thinking it might be easier and cheaper to just swap subframes than try to deal with each bushing. You make it seem like a good idea

I have screws on my ultra light aircraft struts that need to come out without damaging thin 6061 aluminum. Heat is NOT an option. So I came here and found your vid. I will try this, with acetone first as I have that in the shop. If that doesn’t work I’ll try CRC brake cleaner. Thanks… this info is a godsend!

You need to loosen the screw to rotate the mirrors and then you can pull the arm and rotate at the same time. There should be a spring that holds it to the base.

Here me out. It's videos like this that pisses me off for not being prepared and following through blindly. I made my own box, cause I couldn't get one cheap enough. It worked out, but took WAAAAY longer than it should have, if I could've visualized the dimensions of the box. Cobb's instructions aren't as helpful, because they're broad. In hindsight, this video would've been a lifesaver. So if there's a lesson to be learned, do you're homework first.

23:40 I use the same PermaTex Ultra Grey on all my oil pan gaskets - people don't always like the 24 hour cure time, but it's worth it. I've never had a leak and some of the gaskets are several years old at this point. Holds up as good as the seal from the factory did. Great video and thanks for sharing this. I looked at my neighbor's Xterra who wanted his oil pan leak addressed - figured it was at the end seals like yours leaked, too, that's what it looks like. Not a fun job to do, it seems, but not awful either.

Stretching tires is completely moronic. Y don't u camber it out while ur at it, make it drive completely on the sidewall. Less traction and ruin the integrity of the skin! Stupid dangerous but it looks cool and that's what matters right. F'ing Billy backyard!
