Very nice and interesting. But if SI units were used it would be pretty much better.:-)

Terrific. But the Stokes law equation might need more explanation. Speed is inversely proportional to Radius since higher radius produces more drag. But....on the other hand higher radius multiplied by density means higher weight, which increases speed. Thanks

Thank you so much for your informative explanation. I would like to ask how the way to calculate the ideal tank volume for this SBR system? is the effective capacity of the SBR is similar with the decant volume or the whole filled tank volume minus with the activated sludge volume? Thanks in advance

What about a DynaSand D2, and on the reject lines: flocculation residence tank, a Lemella separator, and then a ThickTech on the sludge reject line, with the final reject effluent being sent to a Hycor Helixpress... Recirculating the polymer/water filtrate back to the pre-flocculation polymer dosing feed.

How is the appropriate wasting volume determined per batch? Do you have basin TSS meter?
@ParksonCorporation2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out. A TSS meter is not typically used. The operators run mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) tests in the lab at least once a week to determine if the desired MLSS concentration is being maintained. If the MLSS is too high, the waste volume is increased. If it is too low, the wasting volume is reduced. The MLSS changes are generally very gradual so real time monitoring via TSS probes is not required. Please let us know if any additional questions!
