Thank you so much for doing what you do! My grammar is horrible at the moment so I apologize. The benzo community so appreciates your dedication, authenticity, and love. Music is such a a healing mechanism. Many don’t utilize it. There needs to be an outlet for an individual while going through such intense suffering. Art, yoga, music, self expression. Etc. thanks so much Emma for being you and sharing your story! 😊

Thank you Alana - this is an incredibly kind message. I'm completely with you regarding music -and the need for outlets for people going through suffering. We live in such a 'cold', disconnected world sometimes, when connection - to others, ourselves and the natural world around us, is one of the core fundamentals of healing and wellbeing, yet often overlooked. I appreciate you and all you do too. Wishing you a great start to 2025! P.S your grammar is great :)

You do need a cardio work-up and I find it an insult to injury to reject someone with abnormal heart function. Have you looked into QT Long Syndrome? And POTS? I was diagnosed with POTS, but the Rheumatologist that diagnosed it said I shouldn't worry about it as there is nothing I can do about it. It is a debilitating condition and is so easy dismissed/minimised. Maybe they will approve a Rheumatologist, who might do a tilt table test, for POTS?

@jolenekindiak8849 I'm so sorry to hear that, it's awful what is happening to so many, including yourself. I hope that you're finding the right doors to healing and step by step getting there. Some, very sadly, aren't even aware what's happening to them. Aiming to get the feature film out next year (subject to funding this year). Wishing you a happy start to 2025 (and beyond!)

I had that when i got off Xanax then i went on valium for 3 years and it eventually went away i highly suggest you go on valium and then microdose yourself off it after a year or two and that should fix it i took myself off it cause i was ready and was also put on a muscle relaxer called tizanadine which helped my heart muscle calm down try asking your dr for that medicine until you feel ready to stop.

I am 47 years old, i had severe panic disorder in my 30s. I was prescribed Xanax 1 mg 3 times a day for almost nine years. Got out of a bad relationship around the age of 40 and surprisingly i quit Xanax cold turkey with very little withdrawal symptoms. I was like a switch had been flipped, no more anxiety or panic issues at all. Flash forward to March 18 2024 i had my first of two heart attacks. The switch is flipped yet again panic attacks are back i was put back on benzos im trying to get off them but this time around its been hell. Doctor are no help. I am truly lost yet again.

It’s truly criminal the numbers of us who suffer in silence, even worse is the gaslighting and shaming by medical profession ….. I’ve also lost four years of my life, my family has suffered and our dreams shattered by a “ child’s dose “ . I struggle daily with severe tinnitus, horrid body burning and sleep issues. I live on second at a time. Would have ended it if not for my family … These are toxic drugs

Omfg I've gone through benzo withdrawal from max legal dose after few months use ,I've withdrawn from higher doses twice purchased from a black market supply addiction ,I've quit cocaine ciggertettes alcohol and opiates all from strong addictions they were a walk in the park to how horrific benzo withdrawl is ,it's a spectrum of how severe it affects different people and for me nothing touches how awful benzo withdrawal is ,I've learnt how to go through the months of recovery and manage it ,the physical withdrawals are very bad for a few weeks feverish etc but the anxiety and feeling of impending doom is the worst part and it goes on for months, my advice is use l theanine 5htp and gabba to seriously improve recovery process the other secret is to take gabapentin for a couple weeks it kick starts your gabba receptors however your not gona get prescribed it fir that purpose

Definitely long term autonomic disfunction, often triggered by benzodiazepine use or withdrawal. Strengthening your Vagus nerve is the way out. Applying cold on the side of the neck, splashing face 20 times with cold water, taking a cold shower. There is nothing wrong with your heart, it's the autonomic nervous system. Ironically, specialist who yreat disautonomia are usually cardiologists, but look for a disautonomia specialist. I was prescribed a medication to lower the heart rate and stabilise it.

Hi Emma, I would also like to share. March 2020, the start of the lockdown in France, I started having panic attacks and since I didn't know what it was I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the emergency room and they told me it wasn't serious, that it was a panic attack and that I had to see my GP. Between leaving the emergency room and a video appointment with a GP, 3 days went by during which I had 4 horrible attacks per day. The doctor prescribed me 15 mg of valium and didn't warn me about the risks either. After a month I had no more pills in the box and so I stopped the treatment and then my life changed because I had a whole bunch of terrible symptoms, I went to the emergency room again and they told me that you should never stop taking Valium like that. I went back to see the GP who wrote me a new prescription but the damage was done because taking Valium again put me in a great agoraphobia and anhedonia and I had to stop working. I stayed in bed for 2 years, today I am better and I have returned to work but I will never forget.

Thank you for sharing these tips Emma. I find them extremely useful. I am so sorry that you went through such a traumatic time, I am sure some days still feel like hell, but it gives me strength to see that you are in a better place. Even to do this video is fantastic...I have a lot of love & respect for you. I am so proud of you and hope and pray that you and everyone else affected by benzo's, will continue to see that light in their lives begin to get brighter, little by little. Hope & Faith can be so difficult to feel when we experience the horrendous effects/ symptoms of this drug, but daily practices in self-compassion are key for me. Breathwork has helped me immensely. Take care beautiful 😍 keep shining 💛
