easy to tell the fast drivers from the slow, you killed it! setting up corners before you arrive as you should! and the first gen imprezas are cool as heck! you do a swap or is this original engine? very cool car, itd be hard / extremely expensive to get in the top 5! it sounded like the fords had wrc parts? anyways awesome video keep truckin!

hey thank you!! appreciate the kind words, were doing our best to make a slow car stay going fast haha. this is the original top end with an STi short block, CP pistons, stock otherwise still running NA, so we're thinking around 180hp give or take. and yessir, there are some wrc spec, or rally 2 type cars out there and of course the subaru rally team, but needless to say a handful of privateers are extremely competitive at the top level so anythings possible. we'll likely put a ez30r in our new build.

Dude, totally meant to introduce my kids to you at both Olympus and Oregon Trail Rally this year but squirrels happened. Hopefully Tour de Forest even though they changed the date back to historical time of year

Haha that's bitter sweet man! Yes hope to catch you soon, you may have seen we had a bad off at OTR and the meaneye was totaled so we're working on sorting out a new chassis and getting back out soon. Not sure timing yet TDF would be amazing, more likely shooting for Oly and OTR next season. 🤘

Nice Vlog! A couple other things that made this event unique were the timeline and this being our first regional rally. This event was originally scheduled to have a morning of Recce and six stages. Due to fire danger, the landowner need competition to end by 1 PM. As a result, recce and 2 stages were canceled. This meant that we did not have a chance to drive any of the stages before racing. Regional rallys are a little different than national events. At national rallys everyone uses RallySafe which is a device that does our start count down, tracks our times, provides and odometer for transits and a whole lot of other things. Regional events don't use it, so we had to use my Monit rally computer for transits and a stop watch to keep an eye on our times.

Thank you, Jebb! I believe it, we've spent some time getting our skid plates set up and they're still not perfect. Just make sure to avoid the bowling ball sized boulders. 😁

My enemy has always been those huge jagged crush basalt they rock our roads with... definitely ruin your tires quick (timber companies recommend 10ply on our vehicles) and getting on the loose shoulder n being sucked into the drink... 😂. All said, I do love seeing rally taking place here n wish it would get bigger. Hopefully at some point I can get my son and myself running locally here in Olympus and tour de Forest at least

I am a bit, biased, as I have an Impreza, and love watching the American rallies as they have a good deal of these cars racing in it!!! We don't get that many racing here in the UK!!!
