Just for clarity- There is no such thing as a real time connection with Mars because it is always between 3 to 22 minutes of light speed travel away from earth. Real time connectivity on Mars would be terrific though!

So they want to store data or have something that’s remotely enabled on mars? Bizarre

4MBit/sec is not too bad, but the ping-time will be at least 6 minutes, and might be as long as 25 minutes. Thats more like delivery-time instead of access-time.
@caseycappoen2512 ай бұрын
3.03-3.11 minutes to be exact depending on where mars is in relation to us, & if it's all lazer relay back to earth. Also i said the same, i remember 56k lol. I would consider it acceptable as a inhabitant.
@Heelix_de2 ай бұрын
@@caseycappoen251 the 3 minutes is for one distance from Mars to Earth, under the assumption that both are at the nearest point to each other. The response back to Mars will take the same time. The ping-time is a complete roundtrip. And don't forget what happens if Mars is on the opposite side of the sun. That is a much longer distance, and the signal-roundtrip can be something up to 25 minutes.

What he said, at the beginning, of even this video, was untrue/false, He said "Consider, that he/Space X hasn't done anything that NASA hasn't already done". He does retract what he said, KIND OF, later in the video though, but SpaceX's Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets have autonomously landed vertically and under power after use, showcasing advanced landing technology. In contrast, NASA's previous methods, like the Space Shuttle’s solid rocket boosters, involved the boosters falling back to Earth and using parachutes for recovery, NOT controlled powered landings. NASA's Artemis program MAY eventually use similar reusable technology, but as of now, SpaceX's method represents a significant advancement in rocket reusability. Also SpaceX has launched more rockets than NASA. Since its founding in 2002, SpaceX has conducted hundreds of launches, so thats another thing, that they've done, that NASA hasn't. NASA is so primitive, that they stranded people on a space station recently, for 8 months/19weeks/ LOL the mission was only supposed to be eight days long, and NASA stranded them, with no way back down; Except to lean on SpaceX, and allowing a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to dock with the ISS; NASA is a joke, NASA is going back to the moon, EVENTUALLY/its been like 55 YEARS, since NASA's done this in the past, they also apparently want to wait, until after EVERYONE OUTSIDE OF THE US, goes to the Moon first though, they also for some reason want to do a fly by, with astronauts, in the space craft/Artemis 2 could/should be done autonomously and honestly a drone of some sort could handle the Artemis 2 mission/map their route, Artemis 3 is important though, in the exact way that their TRYING to do it, BUT NASA MOST LIKELY WON'T be getting the best spot/other countries will probably setup, in the best places, BEFORE the US get there/we DEFINITELY NEED a HUB on the Moon, for other space missions though/a HUB for Mars and future space missions, WE DEFINITELY NEED to be an interplanetary species. This kind of reminds me of basically every electronics company in the world/ the people that are really building things/doing things are foxconn and TSMC. Obviously American's pay for A LOT of things, through taxation, but honestly other than, studying data/analysing data, training their bodies, learning to use the equipment, and actually going to locations, NASA, doesn't do much, especially on their own/without other companies; Boeing, isn't doing well right now, but without these companies, NASA couldn't function, at least currently, without SpaceX, Lockheed Martin , Blue Origin, Dynetics, Northrop Grumman, Freedom Photonics, Psionics, Venturi Astrolab, ThinkOrbital Inc, Vast Space LLC, and so on, NASA couldn't do ANYTHING, right now, without these companies, even JPL/Jet Propulsion Labs is ran by California Institute of Technology, NASA NEEDS these companies.
