I haven't played the game, but few people focus their attention on the hud. It's a genuine shitpost, ugly and inconsistent color choices (red, yellow, blue, green, light blue, you name it), unpolished pop-ups on screen, hardly readable text due to the lack of contrast... I'm baffled, a stain on an already bad looking title

Even with the ai being absolutely horrible, I replayed this game and Ngl I had a lot of fun with it once I had a tier 2 car. Also one of the few positives with this game was the soundtrack. The pursuit music and normal race music were all great

Basically just play Prostreet if you want to feel nostalgic, it’s embarrassing that it was made a year before undercover, and shits all over it

Vanilla Undercover sucks, that's a certainty but try out the mods instead: Both UC Exposed and UC Reformed. it will improve the game experience tenfold

Its not just the photorealism but the visual style, the ambient lighting from all those street lights which is yellow in some areas and blue in others, the city lights, the lens flare, etc, this game was a treat to look at and the combo of visuals+music created an immaculate street racing vibe. I personally think of this game as Need For Speed: Underground 3.

Imagine if Blackbox was in charge of the driving in this... We could have had the greatest comeback in of the franchise, on par with MW2019. Such missed opportunity...

@@Solid_Kris I know. I just wish they would come back one last time. One effort for something truly game-changing. Tbh I don't think the game would have looked this good if it was under Blackbox. It just wished at least they could have reuse the old physics, or even physics from their own NFS Rival because that game is somehow 10 times more consistent than this game. Sounds was right, visuals was right, tuning was right, atmostphere was right... then it's this one thing called gameplay that completely broke the game.

I'm pretty sure you can save and sum since grocery shopping is like 10 times more expensive than the game itself, that is unless you're not an adult...or even legally allowed to work for cash... or you don't own a personalized credit card

Emulating this on a modern xbox is terrible for performance and input lag, the PC version is much more stable, and looks better, especially with mods

@LordSethrik this isnt being emulated on a modern xbox this was recorded on my 360 and the input lag is fine actually i dont experience any of it. perfomance definitely isnt great tho and the pc version looks great to be fair when i watch other youtubers play it

Cars being twitchy became much better when Forza introduced steering linearity curve settings, unfortunately that wasn't until around Horizon 3 or something Also Forza Horizon 4 and 5 got me into playing manual with clutch. They have this system where you can press the shift button first and then the clutch button, which will make you shift slightly slower than actually timing it correctly, but still allows you to shift. Very forgiving, but now I can't get enough of manual with clutch

Great video, very surprised you don't have more subscribers, and your reasoning for not using FM4 made me chuckle. I'm very surprised you struggle with judging braking in racing games, this is something I assumed clicks in everyone's head after a year or so of gaming, did you start playing racing games at a later age? I started playing racing games age 6 and after a few years I stopped using the braking line on games because I found it was usually sub-optimal and I could judge it better myself, I'm now 25 and I can do 1 lap of any track in any game with any car and roughly know the braking points after that 1 lap (I am quite into sim-racing so I guess that helped).

@bobmarley6306 thanks man seein comments like yours makes me smile so much man😂 im suprised too but to be fair i dont strictly follow the breaking line its just something i never have off. except for asseto corsa i have no idea why its the only game i dont use breaking lines😂.its more a guide of the rough point of when i should start but i always try to brake at a later point i think of it as like a minimum threshold so to speak its like a guide of thats the earliest i can break without breaking way too early but im always breaking a second or so after and to be fair ive been playinf racing games since incredibly young too but i never played sim racers till a few years ago so i guess there could be a reason i started with f1 games in 2021 and that kind of brew my passion for sim racing but arcade simpler races like need for speed were always what i preferred

@Mrflingflong Interesting, I also only started sim racers recently (in 2020), I defo get what you mean by using the braking line as a rough reference and braking later.

@@MrflingflongYeah, it's unreasonably hard to judge braking at all when you don't get to adjust the field of view, and the often mandatory speed-sensitive field of view makes it even worse

@@jamesescobar-cg9yz man i sure hope it will that would be great got a plausible theory that it could too the locations of forza horizon have cycles in fh1 it was colorado (america) in fh2 it was half italy half france ( europe) in fh3 it was australia (oceana) in fh4 it was Scotland(Uk) then in fh5 we went back to america for mexico so maybe fh6 we will be back on europe for germany?hopefully
