Although there are proposed plans for double track, like the great central railway in Longborough and heads north to Hawick. The Waverley Railway from Hawick to Riccarton junction. Crossing the shankend viaduct and hopefully the tunnel careful future plans and bring steam to glory. Hopefully see what the future brings 😊👍

I think it’s under overhaul currently, which is great. It is a lovely little thing isn’t it. As much as I like BR green this track recorder livery is smashing. Props to the Lavender preservation team for keeping this alive. It’s barely worth it and a bigger railway would scrap it. I love it and wish it and the team all the best.

I visited all the stations on this line as a young lad in 1977 and the little station at Kirknewton was boarded up but inside it was like a museum. All the ticket office furniture was in place and the cast iron ticket window with it's In and Out signs in glazed bricks.

My son is special needs and he loves trains 🚆🚈🚂🛤🚅🚄🚉🚊🚝🚞🚋🚃🚇 especially railbuses like that one he finds them very interesting and thinks they are highly underrated rail transportation vehicles here in North America 🇺🇸🇨🇦 and Progress Rail, Siemens, or any other company that builds railroad equipment should build clones of these and the departments of transportation should put them to work on lines that are not used anymore or at least don't get passenger service.

I wish him all the best! I can clearly see where he is coming from! These things were used on branches across England but faced early retirement because of their low passenger capacity.

It's still used for the Nuclear flask train. Comes down from Crewe, collects the waste, then goes back up.

Now I know the class 20's are called choppers because at full tilt they sound like helicopters. So would the Clayton's be nicknamed "Planes" ? Because under full throttle they sound an awful lot like single engine light aircraft.

Great units. I only ever drove them when they had the TL engines, but they had a very strong Freightliner type coupling between the two coaches, and the underframes were solid.

The sidings you got as the meadow sidings is actually stapleford and Sandiacre pway sidings . Meadow sidings is after you see the 60034 The fly over is disused and has been since the early 80s .... When you rejoined the main line you passed through Toton junction heading towards Long Eaton Town and Trent junction is the other side of Long Eaton Town
