I think it would be a good idea to take the whole thing out in one piece and strip it down later at your own shop that way you be able work safely and have a batar chance at saving more prets and you won't to worried about losing things like tools......

Looks like it will work. 👍 The JB weld might interfere with the feel of objects traveling up the rod to the handle. Personally if I did not have access to a welder I would have silver solder mine with a cheap torch. Make sure the tip is made of harden steel because if you probe in rocky areas or gravel it will wear the tip down fast.

Yep, possum. Ugly things. I think the car was a Toyota Corona, early 70's, also an ugly thing-lol. The gas cap hole is exactly like a 76 celica, but the body was NOT a celica or a corolla, but the gas hole screams Toyota.

The frame alone is worth big bucks. You walked 🚶‍♂️ into a honey 🍯 pot of good antique parts. It would be worth your while to get that out of the forrest and put money 💰 into your pockets. 😮

That lone fender is worth $700 to a guy who's looking for it to complete his truck restoration. The engine is worth a thousand dollars. You found a honey 🍯 pot of hard-to-find parts worth your while to get it out of the Forrest and put money in your pockets. 😮

The spark plugs don't go through the side cover like a 216 but the valve cover is held down by the two center studs like a 216. My guess is a 235 Babbitt beater in a 53 Chevy.

Hello from Alberta. Just looking at what's left of that truck, there's still some good parts there. I've got a 1952 Chev 1 ton with the same driveline. The engine in that one looks like a 235 and the transmission is likely to be a Muncie SM420 which is said to be stout and desirable. If you're able to, go back and take what you can. Best of luck!

My feeling is that it's a 74ish Toyota Corona. I had a 75 and the trim to the left of the taillight hole looks just like mine. The engine doesn't look like a 20R,but maybe the earlier Coronas had a different engine type.

Definitely not a Celica, they were hardtops and this is a 2 door sedan. I think mid to late 70s Corolla but hard to tell for sure with it being burnt and overgrown.

a very amusing sequence. A vintage car whose current occupant is truly unexpected!! It's a Japanese car from the 1970s, perhaps a TOYOTA COROLLA 2-door coupe.

Not sure off the make and model . Looks 80s. But it had clearly been destroyed by fire a long time ago which would explain the complete absence of any paint or any interior upholstery, any plastic fittings ,windows or any tiers on the rims. Even the spare in the boot is missing its rubber.
