Yeah, trust your gut. You knew but still gave her a chance to show character. ❤

Do you think maybe SHE wanted that Lenox set? I feel like she wanted you to think it wasn't worth reselling and would not buy it so she could have it'd sell it herself.

Yep. Definitely think that. 😅

A couple of weeks ago you were talking about how they are not your friend and I went to an Estate sale and did something STUPID. I put my bag down on the floor and went to look at something in the next room (there was only 1 other person there) and I came back to find this woman took stuff out of my bag. At the time I thought it was a real mistake until I remembered she had seen me with the bag when we were talking about vintage ornaments. I have had people follow me too. As for your situation, she Wanted it and was mad you got it. I didn't know that about taking the tag! I don't know if I would trust that at the Estate sale companyone that I go to. Love your stories.

I made them in the 70's and they were bought in kits. Not imagination. I still have them. And kits are still available.

I’ve heard that kits are still around, but I have yet to see any in stores! Hope you get to enjoy yours for years to come.

They came in kits at craft stores with diagrams and instructions. The patterns were in the instructions. They came as one mostly. Smaller ones sometimes as 3 or 4. We had pastels back then. The materials, felt, pins, sequins, everything all came in the kit. I made several that I still have and it did take hours and hours per ornament. They had kits in 70’s too. Late 80s is when I made mine. They were kits! They were very ornate and lovely. Thank you.

I found a kit untouched at goodwill I want to put it together but I hate to open it 😂 also not sure if I have the skill to make it. 😂😂 These are beautiful and I love them, I love homemade 😍

Wow. I figured there must’ve been kits. My mom made some with my sisters from left overs in her Bucilla stocking kits

This is very interesting! I adore that style of ornament as it’s so ornate and nostalgic. I think I will plan to make one. Thank you for sharing!

Very nice ornaments. Yes my family and I would make these kind of ornaments from kits we bought at Michael’s back in the 70-80’s. They are collectible.

That’s so cool you made them from kits! Love that they’re collectible too! Hope you may still have them.

No no no ! 😂 They were kits sold in the 70s to make homemade ornaments. My sister loved them! You would buy the kit with the one you wanted to make and it had the ribbon, the styrofoam ball and all the beads. I never pick them up because only certain people probably want them. Anyway, you do great videos.

That’s right! They were so much fun to make as a kid. Thanks for viewing!

I saw a Wawa coffee cup in the basement. Are you in Pennsylvania? Jersey? Delaware?

Great insight. I remember one year when I was a young adult, my mither said she wanted to rent small cabins at a state park a couple of hours away and eat at a restaurant there that was serving Thanksgiving. I was surprised because we always gathered for a big Thanksgiving at her house. Now that I am the one hosting for the last several years, I completely undersrand Mom's thinking. I love the time with family, but it can be stressful, getting the house clean, figuring out where everyone will sleep, shopping, food prep, etc.

I couldn't spend that kind of money and not be petrified. I hope it works out for you. Going to Estate sales can be tiring and sometimes you just are not in the mood for big projects. I don't like the expensive ones. The reseller is mainly their customer these days and they need to be realistic. I have been to a few that didn't sell much because the prices were a joke.
@onlinesellingshow3960Ай бұрын
I totally understand where you’re coming from. Most in my area price on the higher side, unfortunately. I felt confident spending this much only because I bought items in my niche. Thanks for watching and commenting
