Hi! I'm turning in my homework. 😂 I know it's early, but I make small gifts for Family members for Christmas. I found this video a couple of weeks ago here on KZbin. It's called Granny Square Christmas Tree Ornaments. I've made my smaller, but they are fast and so easy. I think they would be great for one of your markets. I wish you lots of luck on your future one.

Yay you get an A+ for homework ❤️😁 I’m searching KZbin now for them and they look perfect, only problem is I now want to put up my Xmas tree and have Christmas music playing loud 😂😂 xx

The whale is going to be really nice! Lots of work using cotton yarn but stitch definition is fantastic. I love making the mini flockers, they are quick and cute. Make lots of flamingoes since that’s your craft name. I have a cupcake stand that I need to fill with birds, I better start cracking on my crochet. You are going to have to crochet with the fluffy yarn for Christmas market to have enough product to sell😂😂. Lovely video as usual, you are a very sweet person.

I ran out of yarn for the whale! Now having to wait until the colour is back in stock 😱 I am on a mission to make as many flamingoes as possible 😂 xx

I love the cotton for crochet stuffies, the stitch definition is so nice. Unfortunately you have to price them higher than the fluffy plushies. A lot of people don’t realize the hours of work. Don’t underprice yourself, explain to customers the hours it takes to create one. Show them the size of hook 😂. Love your videos! ❤ (from Canada btw)

'Creative' never 'messy' brilliant quotes one I made up at the beginning of August: "tell me I cannot do something and I will find a way to do it." no need to apologise for anything dear lady, no need. I NEED one of those printers 😭 I can use these at our local library although I am not sure they would allow beauties like your Dragon and cat. I could but ask eh? I was thinking a lamp with your White cat. I hope you got to feel better quickly.
@beaflamingo9 күн бұрын
Next time someone says I’m messy I will be using creative not messy 😘 I love my printer but most makes take hours so not sure how that works in a library unless it’s a 24 hour one. Do you have to supply your own filament? I have many questions lol xx
@silverpromidi9 күн бұрын
Someone I was talking with the other day mentioned that the library charges a few cents per gram(?) he said an aeroplane he wanted to make would end up costing around $100aud to have made. I am pretty sure the library has overnight makes, I need to go do an introduction workshop to find out more 😊

@beaflamingoАй бұрын
The dragons are amazing, I've no idea how people design them as it's mind blowing all the pieces together. I'm still experimenting with the printer but what it can do is crazy LOL xx

Hi, I love your easy down to earth video's, its just like chatting with a friend. I so identify with your office space and have written down your quotes as prompts to myself. The printer is so cool, I had all these ideas going through my head, Planter for the cat, think it would look great with something like a spider plant in it, almost like it was coming out of the plant. As for the dragon...coolest thing ever. you could make them into kits so the buyer could paint then like they do with toy soldiers and monster kits. Then there is just sitting watching the printer doing it's thing and being mesmerised. Can't wait to see all your makes and follow the rest of your journey. love n hugs Sheila x

My suggestion, Tour the market before you sign up and see if there are other crochet sellers there and see what they sell. If there are others you should have something that sets you apart so you're not in competition but yet you stand out by offering things others don't have. Having a couple bigger items to draw people in is a good idea but lets not forget the UK as well as the US are in a economic crisis right now so therefore extra funds to spend on non essentials is not something a lot of families have. That being said I would stick to lots of smaller affordable items. Keychains can also be marketed as backpack buddies to the younger kids who don't drive. The axolotls have been made popular from the game minecraft and every crocheter I've see said the pink sell out first. I guess if you're just starting out doing 3 of each item is a good place to start. I don't crochet but have made hair bows for 11 years and I guess I'm in the minority because I DO NOT think selling out is a good thing or a success because i look at is me being under prepared and I missed out on potential sales because I didn't have the products available. I am established so when I purchase or restock my ribbons or hardware I am doing so with profits from my business it's never taking money out of my pocket or personal money (hope that makes sense) so If I have products made up and left over from one sale then that's perfect they carry over to the next sale and I can focus on bringing in a new item or batch making more of the item I'm currently on. Right now I am making Halloween Mouse (mickey) Ghosts hair bows and my plan was to make 12 but then that leaves me with the supplies to make 8 more so instead of stopping at 12 I am going to batch make all 20 and then I'm done with that item. If they sell out then they are done for the season and I can therefore batch make something else instead of having to go back and make just a couple mouse ghosts to replace what sold. Best of luck I hope you do a market, I'm looking forward to watching.

Thank you so much for your comment :) I shall visit some local craft markets over the next month or so and see what is out there. I admit I dont go to them often so will be an eye opener I think, may even record my visit so everyone can join me. I love your thoughts on 'selling out' so many of us think selling out is the best thing but you are so right in that it is better to not sell out and be prepared with stock. Definitely has given me food for thought so thank you xx

@beaflamingo2 ай бұрын
Where about are you? It's never too hot here in the UK :D Though as crochet plushies get more popular here I feel that I may have the same issue as you in that the spaces would already be filled, hence why my brain is saying get in there first xx
