Hi I have a couple of scenarios. Scenario 1: I have a casual employee who finishes a 2 hour shift from 9am-11am with Client A in Location A. The employee then travels to Client B in Location B in their own car and cover 28 km distance in 30 minutes of travel. The shift at Location B is 11:30am-1:30pm. In this case, will I pay 1 unit of broken shift allowance or provider travel time of 30 minutes? Or do I have to pay both? Scenario 2: I have a casual employee who finishes a 2 hour shift from 9am-11am with Client A in Location A. The employee then travels to Client B in Location B in their own car and cover 28 km distance in 30 minutes of travel. The shift at Location B is 12pm-2:30pm. In this case, will I pay 1 unit of broken shift allowance or provider travel time of 30 minutes? Or do I have to pay both? In both Scenarios, does SCHADS Award require me to pay the employee for those 28 Kilometers too? I have have to pay all of provider travel for 30 minutes, broken shift allowance and $28 for those 28 kilometers travelled between clients, how does any provider save any money? Another Question (If I am required to pay provider travel, broken shift and every kilometer between Client A & B): I claim $67.56/hr against CLient B's plan. This makes a total of $168.9 for 2 hours of support and 30 mins of provider travel time. Based on SCHADS Awards Level 2 Paypoint 1, I have to pay the staff $41.76 per hour on a casual basis. This means I pay $104.4 in wages for those 2.5 hours. For every kilometer between the clients is $ 1 and broken shift allowance is $20.12. 11.5% of the wage paid in Super makes about $12. (11.5% of 104.4). All these add up to $164.52. So, comparing the $168.9 incoming and $164.52 outgoing, how does any provider manage to save any money? What pays for other company expenses like business insurance, rents, audit costs, and so many other hidden costs a provider has to pay in order to run a business?

Best is for Shiftcare to query Xero first to pick the latest unused Xero invoice number as per QBT for use in the SHiftcare invoice process. Future enhancement.

Hi! I’m learning about this app and I have some questions: Is there any option to create chat groups , for example related to a client updates… and advises sometimes the workers want to share? Is there options to create notes of follow ups for example a client calls to cancel or complaints or there is a concern from the coordinators that they want to add as a notes. Is there any option that I can see all the updates that coordinators wrote or did or modified during the day in just one single place?

Clock in and out might be a challenge, not all clients stay home every shift example,, admitted to Hospital, away for Respite. So that means no notes for whole shift?.

So when do you clock on, at the car park, or when you enter the building. This is problematic as it may appear you're late when you are just on your way to the facility. Which happens often.

you refer to is as dumping ground material and crm., you can prepare a 120 page business document but providers. don’t read or do what doctors request with medical reports. TLC and Australian Care Solutions are criminal fraudsters. I am a participant who is lucky to be alive.

I don’t understand what 200% paid at double on a Sunday if overtime. Level 2.2 social and community- Sunday rate 74.75 Does that mean double 74.75 x 2 = 149.5 per hour overtime worked on Sunday or it is paid at 74.75 because it’s already double time? Thank you

Hi Amy. Great question! The answer is that you don't pay the Sunday rate, you pay the overtime rate, which is the same rate as the Sunday rate (so not $149).

Wrong. NDIS and Home care providers need to keep records that shifts have occurred. Also, this software offers integration for processing worker pay as well as sending invoices to clients. It also makes it easy to create and keep timesheets, as well as giving workers more work.

i was just wondering. if the shift itself is only 9.30am to 6.30pm, but its put in the system as 9am -7pm to allow the travel time, how will the staff know to only work 9.30am to 6.30pm ?

Hi there! The admin team can add an instruction on the shift to advise staff of the travel time component. Staff can then review the shift on the mobile app to view the instruction prior to starting their shift. The other option is to create two additional 30 minute ‘travel’ shifts either side of the actual shift that are explicitly marked as travel time in the scheduler. Hope that helps! This video is done quite well. A good friend told me to use Shift Care and I watched another video that to be honest I would have not considered Shift Care at all after watching. Please have a look at your video "Invoicing 101 with ShiftCare ShiftCare Webinar"and read the comments. Personally I think that video would loose you customers not gain them. Hello, Are there plans on adding more 'Repeat' options ie: Fortnightly, Bi-monthly, Quarterly, 6 monthly etc? And, are there plans on making shifts 'ongoing until further notice', so no end date selected. Thanks
