Did you bike a lot before you did this? I’m planning on cycling next month and was wondering how you avoided butt soreness
@bohemiantramp Жыл бұрын
My preparation wasnt anything extra, month or two moths before i came to japan a started to go to my work on bicycle few times per week. So maybe like 3xweek, 15km per day. My philosophy is that body will get used to it. Problematic was knee pain around 5th day, i had lotion for bruses/iritation and what not to help the knee, got fixed in like two days and all was fine, also dont forget to strech in a morning(squats are good) . When it comes to butt sornes, it started to be problem at day 15 i think, i got section of my skin ripped from the constant movement, it disapeard in two days, honestly i expected that sooner. But i brought some cheap gel seat cover(love it) to avoid brusing, helped alot. If possible wear new undies every day, and if you do it like me without showering and hostels, take baby wipes and clean your crotch from salt. Also make sure to throw them into a bin:-)

If a do a selfie in front of each temple do you think I can get the diploma? ( Do not have the budget to get the stamps)
@bohemiantramp Жыл бұрын
Depends which one. The one that i got is from the museum of henro, there it is based on trust system if you tell them then you went through all temples, they will give you the certificate, if you want the certificate from last or first temple, i heard that they want to see the stamps, but havent tried it my self(even though i have stamps)
@Kiev-in-3-days Жыл бұрын
@@bohemiantramp OK. Thanks. Any reason why you didn't ask for the other one? You just didn't care? And by the way congratulation for finishing it! 💯

@@Kiev-in-3-days thank you.. Well unfortunately it happend in may, i would love to still be in shikoku but im just finishing the videoseries.. hmm to be honest when i started i didnt know about any paper for completion. For me the stamps were proof enough. When i read that there is certi. I tried to figure out where to get it and i found online only mentions of the museum one, the ones in templs i read about on fb group, but that was already when i was heading towards fuji. :-)

Its a sand art made in 1633 :-D not sure about the meaning of each symbol but it should represent or be inspired but coin of that era:-) if ypu want to look more into the "why", look for kotohiro sand art:-)

The ropeway lets you take your bike , so you can ride down and only pay for oneway

Ah.. Nice tip.. Didnt know that but it would also depend on whazlt road it is from the top, had haeavy loaded bike so on offroad trails i would not be able to ride. Well i was not prepared, i found out yesterday that you can show them pasport and you pay half the price:-D
