my favourite vids where def those leatham ones haha. would love to see more local hunting trips hehe
@chasingpeaksАй бұрын
We love the Leatham eh. Great spot, super accessible. We may have done our dash in there for the mean time, but plenty more places to go around the top of the south. Appreciate the feedback mate!! Thanks for watching :)

Keep slugging at it guys . . . just don't bend yourself to the 'industry' and start filling up your channel with product placements and promos. We're sick of it. Maybe also try some shorter vids, punchy clips . . . and minimal narration (ie. keep it visual .. .there seems to be way too much narration in most hunters vids IMHO) My 2c worth.
@chasingpeaksАй бұрын
Hi Greig, thanks for the comment mate. Appreciate the feedback. It’s a good idea, I’ve been guilty of filling a video up with a bit much music and narration at times, sometimes it’s nice to let it “breathe” a little bit. Got a little punchy vid in the pipeline as we speak too, how good. Thanks for being a loyal watcher Greig! - Kieran.

I have enjoyed watching all your videos. The catch and cook angle is now being done by a few You Tubers. I also like this aspect as its given me recipes for the family. Keep doing it guys.

That’s really cool to hear Paul, appreciate the feedback. Makes sense to document the whole process eh, it’s quite a privilege to have the option to harvest your own food!

Catch and cook videos were really good! Well thought out recipes, looked delicious!!

That’s great to hear, thanks rmj89. We are looking forward to the Stewart island trip where we will be able to bring together multiple different catch and cook ideas, all from one of the amazing corners of our country!

That is brilliant, thank you. Cooking what we can acquire from the wilds of our country is a big passion of ours. More to come then 👍

Good shit lads, loved the vid!! What was the track like between Lake TeAnau and Hankinson? Easy enough to portage an inflatable through?

Cheers mate! Appreciate it! It wasn’t too bad, only about a 15 min walk. It was a well cut track too. Certainly worth a look if you don’t want to fork out for a heli ride.

Nice country. But shame about all the radiata, this is very much how most of our foot hill country is going to look in the next two generations. As hunters we should be vocal about the damage to this country it causes.

Couldn’t agree more! Definitely do our fair share of talking about it. Plus, always pull out a few hundred as you go (Not that it helps much).

Hey boys. Well done. Take it from a long time cooker of fish. Red onions should be served raw. Cook them and they drop the purple colouring which actually turns close to black and discolour s your meal. Cook with white red for salads and raw. Keep up the great work.

Very good and valid concern. It was after much deliberation that we made the decision not to. It is a great animal and one unlikely to better, from that region. However, once we do find the ‘right’ Red Stag for a shoulder mount he will, well and truly, be a great specimen. Also, it keeps that challenge and drive alive.
