I didn’t realize that steroids cause an increase in blood sugars! I am black and was diagnosed at 38 years old. I’ve been on TRIKAFTA since 2020 and I’ve had my fasting blood glucose tested, but was never told that my A1c was high after those tests or even ever informed that steroids can an increase blood sugars! We were always encouraged to eat and given high calorie foods during admissions to put on weight. My A1c is 6.0 as of April and I’m doing my best to reverse it before I go to have another A1c test done. I’m going in to the CF clinic in St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where I’m treated, in November and will discuss this with them. I’m hoping my A1c will have come down in my next test. Thanks for this video. 🇨🇦

She's come a long way since playing Min on Barney. Producers tried to give her a chance to dance a solo whenever they could, like in Mister Sun. There was a time she danced ballet in Grown-Ups for a Day, danced like in the circus in It's Raining, It's Pouring, walking a "tightrope" in The Exercise Circus, and visualizing herself as a dancer in When I Grow Up...

Thank you so much for educating me on CF, as a nurse who has cared for young people with CF, I must admit there was a lot of information that was not familiar to me medication wise. My advice to you is seek friends who are deep and sincere and are rooted in the spiritual knowledge that tomorrow is not promised to anyone, hold on to the Robe of your Prophet Whomever you conceive Him to be! I think of death constantly to take away the fear of death and it helps! May you be blessed and keep well! Philomena.
