Can you start in this dlc? and play through canonically to where the game normally starts? or is it a dlc you have to activate from a already created game. edit: nevermind, i found out you cant but you can make it work by starting the dlc after goku tells gohan about the strongest guy he knows, make it like a flashback.

Remember when Amy went by Rosy the Rascal? Then she comes out with this large pikp piko hammer. I never played CD, so I never saw her there. As a kid there was this Sonic the Fighters Arcade stand at a local Chuck E. Cheese. That was my first time coming across Amy Rosy the Rascal. It's so cool they added her in the classic games. So it's like a classic mode of the first Sonic Advance, because Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles are playable there.

The story for this one was just absurd. It's my least favorite. On a semi completion, I sank over 100 hours into it. Also, the side stories were not good in this one.

Yeah, I beaten both games. I beaten the 1st one with all 3 characters and with the 2nd one I just did it with Neera Li (I like using new characters over old ones for a new experience). The game is really good, I might revisit it if different characters have different levels from each other. I remember one of the dev in the Steam's discussion spazzing out on people asking for the release date since it kept getting delayed, lol.

Good review! This game is SUCH a huge upgrade from the original (and already very good) game. It was worth it for fans waiting a decade for it to come out. It looks like a Neo Geo game (i.e. Garou: Mark of the Wolves, King of Fighters '98, Waku Waku 7, etc.) on steroids! The character redesigns by Tyson Tan in particular are phenomenal and permanently eclipse the original designs in my mind, especially in regards to Lilac herself! Im so glad to own it for my Switch, where it plays like a dream! (Im not sure if my old laptop or Mac Mini could even run this game!) I hope this game gets way more attention--it came out to a MUCH more crowded indie game scene than the original game did!

I was a big gamer growing up, but had never touched a single Sega game until 2023 with this game when I was 19. I wanted to try out Sonic first since it’s a classic, but this game really caught my attention when I saw it on a retro store shelf. After playing it, it became an instant classic for me and it’s so overhated by the fandom it’s scary. They love ragging on it and comparing it to the first one because of nostalgia, but tbh playing this one first only gave me more respect for the first game!

Personally, I VASTLY prefer the ground combat in every way. Could definitely stand on its own as an entire game. And Goku’s move set is much more creative here. Plus, combos are more satisfying with the ability to jump. Though, jump being added on left trigger is a deal breaker, I had to remap it. But that also affects specials. I think that’s an issue that should be fixed, but it’s not the worst thing in the world.

This game is so underrated. I love the controls. I have the 1000G on XBOX, and I think I want the Platinum too. I always hoped we’d get a sequel…

I don't think this game is bad in my opinion it's just... overhated i mean i can understand the frustration about this game back then like 10 years ago (jesus Christ... it's been a long time) because they completely dropped the boost formula with this one and copied super Mario galaxy with this game and make sonoc more like mario i think these three are the reasons why sonic lost world was a...mixed bag back then butbin my opinion i don't Think the game is really bad..granted the story sucks.. But it really has a good gameplay (specially that parkour), good level designs and polished,not to mention sonic's gameplay animations in this game is really good in this one. While this game isn't perfect it's still good for.. what it is plus this game helped frontiers to have a good parkour aswell...so i rate this game in the very least 7 or 8 out of 10 because of the game play and level design.

Man I WISH SEGA Saturn had games that play like FP. Lotta run n guns, a couple dozen 2D platformers, but afaik this gameplay was more inspired by Mega Drive and 32X games. So in a way this is exactly the type of game I've been wanting B]

The reference for the game play using Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is spot on! I havent beaten the game yet but this game was definitely a breath of fresh of air. It such a shame that Microsoft decided to do what they did. This company has released nothing but fire and could you imagine what more they couldve done within the next 3-5 years?!

I always hated that whenever one of your turtles fainted theyd retreated back into the sewer lair and fill up on pizza to refill theire healthbars like they should have made something like that an option on the stage you were on and they could have made it so that you could carry multiples of each item in your inventory so say you have a full stacked pizza box a energy boost drink speed boost energy drink they should have made it so you could have carried upto 99 or 100 of each inventory item

Been playing since it was originally a Sonic fan game. With that being said, Freedom Planet 2 is unfortunately an average platformer at best.
