I remember that from being in the navy. Sir do i look like an officer to you i work for a living. And also on the main deck of the ship always have to salute officers. On a long deployment you will go to salute them and they say put your arm down not doing all of that.

Mfs will say anything to justify how the military treats it's members. I understand this meant to train you to think under stress, however it teaches you not to be an independent thinker. In the military you are not allowed to think for yourself and make decisions, you just follow orders. Case in point the instructor asking if he looks like an officer then telling the recruit not to look at him when he tries to verify. Even the instructor has no idea what the hell he's saying and is insulting this guy for his genetics (overbite) which is something he has zero control over. Like I understand yelling when somebody makes a mistake but this guy is just insulting him for existing with the hilareous exuse "shouldve bought braces". I dislike the idea of degrading someone so wholly that they stop thinking, regard themselves as worthless and become a pawn. I've seen people in the army get their pay dropped for months simply for rolling their eyes. But hey as long as the military is effective who cares how people get treated right? Who cares if you treat your insubordinates so terribly they become suicidal (or are you going to tell me their feelings are invalid and they should never have joined)? Not like they can really do or say anything about it because the UCMJ is a joke and any complaint you have will fall on the deaf ears of your superiors. As well as pin a target on your back. Once you join the military you are a slave and it was the worsr experience of my life from start to finish.
