Early Sisters is genius, especially FALAA. So much tortured emotion in Andrew’s baritone.

my student and I were talking. me ,saying I'm a great SOM fan; he a big fan of joy division. he presented me with New Dawn Fades and I introduced him to this early version of Some k of strgr - we were so amused to hear the similarities to the mettalic splashing of the electro drums beating- so much alike ( to my hearing at least) and the FIRST 3 or 4 seconds of the bass line that reminds us of EMMA. Incredible. Definitely 2 great bands. Though to me SOM is unbeatable.

I've always thought the same. I love both bands and both songs as much as each other.

From England in the morning I haven't slept for days I haven't kept the promise made And I know the world is cold But that if you hold on tight to what you find You might not mind too much Though even this must pass away And memories may last for years But names are just for souveniers Let me look into your eyes And I don't care what you're called Tell me later if at all I can wait a long, long time before I hear another lovesong Don't give me whys and wherefores Reason for surprise I don't care for words that don't belong Come here I think you're beautiful My door is open wide Some kind of stranger come inside I think you're beautiful I think you're beautiful I think you're beautiful Angel come inside

Thanks for posting those! All these bands are very respectful of The Sisters' songs, it's a real relief after hearing what f***ing Nouvelle Vague did to Marian!
