You may be able to achieve the desired level of shine using the metallic mica powders ( search for "mica powder for resin pour art/crafts" ) I would suggest brushing on mica powder with a separate dry brush, on top of the paint while it's still slightly tacky, working in sections, and using the finishing coat when completely dry. You may be able to use shimmer eyeshadow pigment if you already have it, because its basically the same substance (mica powder and pigment)

I actually have a some bags and some Roman sandals that are not leather but the top layer is falling apart and I thought of doing something like this adding the studs to see how it works. I mean what’s the worst that could happen😁 seeing you do this has convinced me to do it. I have always loved studs, I love the look of them on things, regardless of if they are on trend or not. I used to shop at Goodwill, too, until a couple of years ago when I discovered the Big Cheeses at GW make somewhere between $200 thousand and 1 million dollars per year (depending on what internet search you do). I also found out that employees with disabilities are often paid less than minimum wage (as low as 22 cents per hour), whistleblowers have been fired, and safety issues have led to tragedy. Now my fave thrift store is The Humane Society Thrift Store, also the fave of all our town which voted it the Best Thrift Store - even against GW! We also have thrift stores for hospice, Teen Challenge, and other local charities. I try to be even more ethical about where my little money goes.
