I have a 40+ yo Leopold that was on a rifle I inherited and is still clear as a ever, however I can’t say the same for me so it’s now on my .22 pellet rifle and can’t ask for a better scope sooooo I did a Black Friday thing and bought myself a vh3-hd and in a dilemma, does it go on the Rem 700 or the Ruger Precision.17. Arrrggg the tougher decisions in life 😂

My mk4 fogs up on me all the time. Same thing with the mk5. I tried both. I hunt with mine. I honestly prefer the mk3 for hunting. The 4-12 is perfect for the thick western washington forest. Love my mk3.

Will an illuminated pr2 in the 3.6-18 mk5HD ever be available. I promise yall would sell a lot of them. As it is a great reticle but people shoot at low light hours and also through thermal units.

This film hits home with me. I am 67 and last year I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy which is when the nerves in your legs die. SO I have no more balance, no strength in the feet, ankles, calves and now moving up to the thighs. In 2015 I took a 5x5 elk with a yew wood self bow and back-packed the elk out myself from 7 miles in the Eagle Cap wilderness. Now that dream of going backpacking into the wilderness area and packing out an elk is gone. I feel for Cody. Thank you Leupold for sending Cody on this hunt. It meant the world to him. Thank you for having a huge heart as a large American Based company, but thinking of the individual hunter. We support you, and honor your commitment to the hunting community. Your products have worked flawlessly on my rifle for decades. Guaranteed for life.... however long or short that may be.

So the rich guy with a dozen people with radios wasn't sure if he hit it the first time? 😂 What's wrong with hunting, outfitters drag people up mountains to kill animals they have no business or understanding of. An animal killed by radios and a dozen people you paid for would be embarrassing to be proud of Hey but each to their own

How does it work at 547 yards with the hash marks?Or is it only good for 1 hundred yard increments?

Just a question why not hunt white tail deer instead especially considering black tail deer are estimated to be below pre colonization numbers

As someone who's lived with MS for 20 years now, you'll never forget the date you were diagnosed. You were smart to take this opportunity when you did because, as you said in the video, you never know what MS could look like for you 10 years down the road. It has certainly changed everything about my life but I never give up. You can still live with it, it doesn't have to a death sentence. Never forget that. Smile through the suffering 🧡🤘🏼

Congrats Cody! What an elk! But more importantly I’m so happy for you to have experienced this with your dad! My mother has had MS for 34 years and I agree with not taking a day for granted! Even tho we’re strangers you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers brother! Keep on hunting and doing the things you love with family!!!!

I just ordered one but then saw it's not designed for the MOS model glocks. I know it doesn't mount to the plate, but can I still mount it to the rear sight on the MOS models? I don't see anything on my 43x MOS that would prevent it from sitting flush to the top of the slide?

Loud "background" music to obfuscate the fact you're not really saying anything. You're above this sort of thing, Leupold.

Hope i get this tag one day. I didnt grow up hunting, but took it up in college. Living in Eastern Oregon during college made it easy to fall in love with it. A close friend of mine managed to get a tag the first time he put in for it. And he only hunted 2 days. Talk about a waste.

Great job Cody! Very inspiring to see a man "get" the true meaning of life. We hunters are all very blessed to get to experience God's grace everyday of our lives, and if we are lucky we get to go to Wyoming and fulfill a dream! Hope you are doing well. May God bless you on your journey and hopefully you will get another chance to hunt elk soon!

Cody and Leupold, thanks for bring such a magnificent story of a Hunter that is facing a potential huge struggle. Cody, your humility and grace is something I wish many more would have. For anyone else reading this take note of Cody and don't wait. My brothers birthday was two days go. He would have been 50. He died in April this year, brain tumors. We shared awesome times together in Australia hunting deer and hogs, times around the campfire, beers, laughs and meals. I'll never have this again. He was taken way too early. To compound this loss and suffering for my family my youngest sister succumbed to pancreatic cancer this month. 47 years young. Four kids, now 2. To Cody's Dad, stay strong and the time with your son on this hunt must have been fantastic. Get out there, bury the hatchet if need be, and take you Mum, Dad, sis, or brother , best mates on a unique adventure. We don't know what is around the corner. And LEUPOLD, thank you for this story. Its the first time I've cried during a hunting video.
