To me this is a story about two lovers who didn't know they liked each other until it was to late, the thousand years part shows someone who is afraid to love, but is willing to try, and the Heather part shows someone who constantly tried to tell the other they loved them, but was to afraid just to confess in fear of rejection.

This is giving me the story of crushing on someone who likes someone else, but by the end of it, the crush realizes that they love the person who crush on them back, and they finally ended up together.

A lone man dances in a ballroom, singing, lamenting the lover who left him. His movements are graceful, elegant, but he is oh so alone. The brilliant lights of the room around him do nothing to reflect the pain in his heart. Little does he know, the very woman who his love left him for walked into the room halfway through his song. Her heart ached as well, remorseful that she broke up a beautiful relationship without even knowing. She began to dance by herself to his song, feeling everything he did. She had broken up with who she thought she loved when she saw the other running away in tears. She takes up singing when his song temporarily fades. The man looks up in shock, recognizing the woman as she walks closer. Her song fades, and he takes up again, making his way over to her. She begins to sing again, their voices dancing along with them to create a beautiful melody, powerful and sad. They hold one another’s hands and begin to dance together, pressing their foreheads against the other’s as they do. She notices tears spilling down his face as he sings his part, and as he stops, she doesn’t take up singing again. She simply wipes the tears from his cheeks and pulls him into a hug.
