2:55 the highest confirmed winds were 205 mph by Hurricane Hunters. The 215 was just a speculation. SFMR recorded 210 before peak (SFMR isn't reliable though). My estimate is >215 mph since there was a 12 hour gap between the Hurricane Hunters missions (both missions found an intensity of 205/879), and that the storm continued to strengthen after recon left.
