Holy crap! I just had my bike to the LBS and they couldnt fix it. But this HAS to be my problem! Sounds exactly like this.. is it safe to ride while ivwait for warrenty verdict?

Ohlins will also have this issue. Thier csu has the same design. Its only a matter of time before it creaks. The only brand witha single crown fork that doesnt creak is ext, because the crown is the tapered part of the steerer so the stress transmitted from the bearings and frame goes directly to the crown, not the steerer, eliminating creaks. Downside is the EXT Era is £1600

I got the same problem on a marzocchi 55 years ago and didn't spot the problem back then, now i can't imagine how shitty could be getting a brand new "ultimate" fork and head straight to warranty procedures over and over Just to get selling the fork

Some forks (all brands) have a creaking problem in the upper crown. In most cases, people got their forks warrantied. There was a pinkbike news article posted about this not too long ago.
