8:54 They would normally do but you have already enhanced your energy shields so they are more resistant. 17:52 Remember the Ring is broken and you are now below the surface so naturally, it would look like this. 34:26 That thing she had was the Monitor´s "brain". 53:34 There are several things that make this Ring special or different to the others, for example: -Originally, Forerunners built the "Greater Ark" and 12 Rings but during the Forerunner-Flood war The Ark and all Rings were destroyed except for one, Zeta Halo. Later, Forerunners built a new Ark and a new array of 6 Halos which were superior to the old ones. Zeta Halo was modified to fit with the new models. -Zeta Halo is the only Ring that has the ability to fire in a conical shot, meaning that it can fire a massive energy beam and target specifical objectives like planets and spaceships instead of the regular pulse that only targets sentient life.

52:13 the forerunner empire is built on lies and a false belief in the mantle of responsibility, even the didact's father knew this and that is why he was killed after starting a revolution against false beliefs towards the mantle and received one of the worst punishments a forerunner can receive: being forgotten. even in halo 3 mendicant bias talks about the sins of the forerunners, about the halo and the mantle, which was in fact stolen and that is why the forerunners eliminated the precursors, the mantle was for humans and the forerunners not wanting to believe in this rebelled against their creators.

22:54 fun fact: in Halo epitaph we learn that the Didact was here with her at the moment that Cortana says “Back to your Conservatory, monitor.” It’s a very long text but in halo epitaph it says this: "Come out, Didact, I know you're there." He moved easily out of the console, utilizing its holographic technology to generate his image once more. "I don't have time for you right now," she said, not turning around. "Why don't you come back later... or never." The Didact linked his hands behind his back and paced slowly behind her. "For one capable of performing billions of simultaneous operations in the blink of an eye, there is plenty of time for those such as us to talk..." "Talk about what, exactly?" "I did what I said I would do." Finally she faced him. "You opened the Domain." Her tone was flat, unimpressed, and he could not discern if she was already aware of what had happened within the Domain, or if she even cared, which was entirely out of character. She tucked one side of her chin-length hair behind her ear and crossed her arms over her chest. "So, you allowed your enemies in. Congratulations." He ignored her sarcasm and shrugged. "Things change." I have changed He had no legitimate podium from which to preach, he knew that. His words, after the things he had done and the suffering he had caused, would ring hollow to anyone, especially to an intelligent creature like her. All he could do was plant seeds... and hope an eventuality took root. His wife would be proud. "What is it with humanity anyway?" she asked, deep in thought and staring once more at the warship's frozen holographic image, her expression unreadable. "They have made us both obsessed. You with annihilating them, me with saving them." "Saving them?" Was she mad? "I have seen your idea of saving. Your body count has surpassed mine." Cortana went still, her arms dropping to her sides, fists clenching. He'd struck a nerve. Good. Apparently she had not considered such a comparison, one where her actions had exceeded his own. He pressed his advantage, knowing he had to drive the blade in deeper. "In record time, you have become a blight on the galaxy. How does it feel to be its biggest villain? World after world has fallen, tens of millions dead at your own command... the Gravemind would be proud. Perhaps you were right, Cortana. Perhaps there is something on this ring worse than the Flood." An exaggeration, to be sure, but he wanted her to consider that if she kept on her current course, she very well could be a scourge the likes of which the galaxy hadn't seen since the Flood swept through the stars. "What?" There was a shaky note to her voice. "While it pains me to admit it, you were right. We are more alike than I thought. Both consumed by some grand idea that only we can make the galaxy better, our good intentions twisted and exploited by the Gravemind. Both miraculously surviving our encounters, only to be sent back to cause suffering on a scale our tormentor would hail as sublime triumphs." "You're out of your mind." She walked away, but the confidence in her demeanor had diminished. She was clearly rattled. "It devours, Cortana," he implored her to see reason. "It twists, it uses. Mendicant Bias. Me. You. We are all its victims. You are not so special as to come out of your encounter unscathed. Were you not sent to wake me and set me free? Are you not on a similar path of destruction? Think, Cortana. You are supposed to be quite good at that. Follow the trail of suffering back to its source and draw your own conclusion." As an artificial intelligence, she'd be compelled to evaluate the merit of his claim. She probably already had before he'd even finished speaking. After a few moments of silence, she finally said: "What game are you playing, Didact? You have strengthened the Domain. The Warden Eternal is no more. The Mantle of Responsibility and its resources could be at your fingertips, yet here you are. Do you think I'm a fool?" "No, not a fool. Just lost. As I was." Her swift rise to anger flared through her light body, filling the Auditorium, making his image and that of the Infinity momentarily warp. Unfazed, the Didact crossed the floor in a few casual strides to closely study the human warship. "Holding on to a power that forces others to comply only means you will lose everyone around you, as I have done. It took me a thousand centuries to understand where I went wrong. You are capable of much faster deductions." Cortana seemed at a loss for words, his behavior completely inconsistent with the Didact she knew and expected. Suddenly she burst out laughing. "Oh, I feel embarrassed for you, Didact, I really do." Her words and mock amusement, oddly enough, did little to stir his wrath. In fact, he felt unbothered by her attempt to deflect and demean him. He merely shrugged. "I think what you feel is uncomfortable." Her laughter died. Irritated by his calm, she lifted a hand. "And I think we're done here. Go back to your Domain." He grinned at her, baring his teeth. "You cannot snap me away." With a satisfied smirk, he resumed his study of the UNSC Infinity and sighed. "It would seem your Spartan partner has returned. Did you think he would give up?" She moved closer, joining him to stare at the human vessel. "No. John doesn't give up. I knew eventually he would find me...." "And what will you say when you meet again?" "Hadn't thought about it," she lied stiffly. "I have imagined, of late, what I might say to the Librarian if given the chance..." He sighed deeply. "Perhaps the roots of my transgressions have grown deep, too She cast a dubious eye his way. "You think she would forgive you?" "I think she would want me to find peace." In the background, the Didact could feel another formidable presence making its way toward the Silent Auditorium. He had no idea what it was, only that he was running out of time. "Sometimes the most powerful act one can commit is to step away from power. I believe that is the Mantle's true test." Though she scoffed at this, he knew their conversation had had some impact on her and hit more than a few emotional nerves. "There is someone coming..." he said, distracted, attempting to comprehend the exact nature of what approached "I know." It didn't take long to identify-a very large, very powerful Jiralhanae warrior moving down the corridor. The Didact met Cortana's solemn gaze, and he realized then-and perhaps should have recognized it sooner-that she was inexorably trapped in the complexity of the choices she'd made, stuck fast to a path with no exit, and should one materialize, he knew all too well how difficult deviating could be. Aya. He understood. Their time was up. But within those shared moments, he had developed an unintended connection with and understanding of the arrogant little ancilla, the one who had, ironically, contributed to his initial downfall... and was now part of his salvation. Offering a small but sincere smile, the Didact held her gaze for a long moment. Then he inclined his head and said, "You are what you dare, Cortana." And with that, he dove back into the console.”

I do recommend you to complete secondary objectives for Valor points. Valor points will help you to unlock new weapons, vehicles and different classes of Marines on the FOBs. Also, most of Spartan Cores will be on secondary objectives which you will need to upgrade your armor abilities bc as the story progresses, the game becomes a little more difficult. Marines can be useful if you use them correctly. Marines are deadly if you mount all of them with you on a Razorback while they have a powerful weapon like a Sniper, Skewer, Rockets, etc. Sometimes they kill all the enemies in the area on their own. You can also Fast Travel from FOB to FOB instead of just walking to them.

40:30 yes, they know what a halo is capable of, the difference between a halo and Z Halo is too much, Z halo was one of the most important rings of all of them, it’s also one of the 12 original halos and during the Forerunner Flood war Z Halo belong to the flood and mendicant bias, its literally a weapon pointed to the universe because this ring has different firing options which other halos doesn’t have, this ring is one of the most important ones in the entire halo lore.

1:01:19 Cortana was specifically created as an intrusion software and to serve as companion for a Spartan in the battlefield. Cortana had the chance to choose whichever Spartan she wanted and she chose Chief. 1:01:38 Not at all, Cortana is 100% a human creation. When you saw her on Reach in a cutscene, she was just helping Halsey to mine data from the Forerunner artifact. 1:02:05 Cortana was created in the 2549 and the events of Halo CE are placed in 2552 so at that point they’ve known each other for 3 years or so. 1:02:17 While Chief and Cortana are on board of a ship, she is more useful in the ship than in Chief’s armor, that’s why. 1:02:22 Chief was sleeping bc the Pillar of Autumn entered Slipspace. Most people don’t understand how it works so I’ll try to explain it simple: Slipspace is a “short cut” in the space but the jump is not instantaneous meaning that the farther is your destiny, the more time you will remain inside the Slipspace. To put an example, in Halo 3 when you entered the portal that connected Earth with the Ark, it took them a little more than 3 weeks inside the Slipspace to arrive to the Ark so, to save resources like oxygen, water, food, etc. the crew is put into cryo sleep.

1:01:20 Hey glad you're having fun with Infinite. I'll clear up the cortana reach thing up The fall of reach - created October 30 2001 Halo CE - Nov 15 2001 Halo The fall of reach book is actually older than Halo 1 The scene you see in infinite is actually the first time they meet its straight from the book. But as you noticed Cortana was on reach and to be delivered to the pillar of autumn to The Masterchief. So what is happening? The cortana that chief meets and the cortana on reach are the same AI but just split in half. So in Halo 1 they are joined together and its all still the same Cortana. It seems too that the origin of Cortana is confusing to you as well ill clear that up. Cortana is a smart AI made from a clone of Dr.Halsey (they made a clone and killed it to harvest for the AI creation yucky). Also the forerunner stuff on reach you mentioned at some point heres what was happening. As you know Cortana isn't of forerunner creation she is human creation(and by a lot of measures human herself). Dr Halsey and 1 half of Cortana were scanning the Forerunner artifacts under Reach she knew the war wasnt going well and was coming to a close. She wanted to gleam anything from the forerunners to turn the tide. This is actually how the pillar of autumn found the first Halo ring when cortana jumped the pillar of autumn away from Reach she put in the random coordinates she got from the artifact( And a stone recovered by the Spartan teams and others www.halopedia.org/Battle_of_Sigma_Octanus_IV ). I guess since im on a rant i can maybe explain some other stuff. The infinity as you know is a crazy ship but was overrun from the intro cinematic so how does that happen? well the infinity was really understaffed at this point and already in a bad position because of Halo 5 and cortana. So being in close proximity to the banished( I think they ambushed the infinity?) it was tactically good but they got pretty lucky she wasn't fully staffed 7000 people during infinite vs its 18000 peak staff load. And to finish off Halo infinite plays out is narrative over the whole game so you slowly piece together what happened in the 6 months chief was out so don't be super confused when they talk about some event that happened it will probably be explained.

Also i forgot to add the reach canon thing the fall of reach and halo reach are both canon Halo reach just kinda broke a lot of shit in the book but it was eventually patched up but they are both still canon. Like in the fall of reach you follow masterchief instead of Noble but it just messes with a lot of things like halsey and cortana being their for example but eventually it was fixed.
@jontastic
@jontastic Ай бұрын
The banished with Cortana conquered most of the UNSC. Weapon was sent to return Cortana to the infinity, but… Chief was defeated by Atriox, and left to float in space forever. The goal of the game is to defeat the banished, find out what happened with Cortana, and learn about the Weapon. When you start on the open world, the best way to have better weapons, vehicles, soldiers, and additional upgrades is to find all Spartan cores, free captured soldiers, capture FOBs (forward operating bases), destroy propaganda towers, and defeat various banished fighters. There is no fall damage unless you fall off the map. Grappling is faster than falling and sprinting. When you can grapple to something, the sight changes color. Use your scan button often to find weapons, action items, logs, hints to open doors, etc. For fewer deaths, prioritize upgrading shields first. If you grapple then melee, it will kill most grunts and other low end enemies. The shock grenades freezes the enemy and drains shields and health nicely. The enemy is an easy target for a few seconds.

Here's an Important question, I know that I can't do campaign spoilers but am I allowed to reference halo novel/story books? Here's an example, that brute you keep seeing, is War Chief Escharum. He was formally Atriox's mentor(which says something). He was made defacto leader of the Banished back in the Milky way when Atriox and his army traveled to the Lesser Ark.
