have you tried owlbear.rodeo? my husband DMs and makes his maps in something inkarnate and then shares them in owlbear.rodeo but that's not like, a very streamlined system IMO...

What I did was to multiply the result by 5, so in the first attack that you dealt 6 damage, but the hill prevented 5 would mean 1x5= 5 dmg, that makes the game way more fun

Is there a compelling reason to switch from Roll20 to Maps on DNDBeyond? My group is currently using Roll20, but especially with the new 2024 rulebooks coming out, we're wondering if now is the time to switch and get the new rulebooks on DNDBeyond, use Maps now, and potentially make the transition to the 3D VTT when that is released.

Imo there is not a good reason to move from Roll20 to Maps as it currently stands! I love how smooth Maps is but I'm assuming it's so smooth because there is so little going on. Only situation I would maybe recommend this is if you already have a Master Tier sub + don't want to pay for Roll20. I have been away from 5e for so long I had to go back and look at Maps! This post was only 6 months ago but I have been playing 2-3 games a week of Daggerheart, Daggerheart x Pirate Borg hybrid, Castles & Crusades, ShadowDark in the wings 😎 I went *beyond* DnDBeyond haha

not yet! We have our character sheets in Demiplane and just shells of character sheets on Roll20 right now... Josh made some macros for us to roll duality dice so really we're just clicking one of three buttons and adding modifier when prompted

The problem with maps is that it isnt integrated with the character sheet yet . Ie. Seperate browser tab for yiur character sheet and no shared dice animations.
