I've had mine a few days now, and I lubed the safety internals and have been toggling it back and forth grabbing both sides of the safety bar while I watch a movie in the evening or something for a few nights to break it in. It's already a lot smoother than it was out of the box; now I can operate it pretty easily with a swipe of the thumb. Little harder to engage vs disengage but that's better than the other way around, and it keeps getting smoother with use. I wonder if it'll soften more after getting it hot at the range and doing the same exercise more. I think it might have to do with how compact the gun is and the tolerances are so tight on everything that it needs a little more break in with things like this.

Do you still have some halos, EVO rings, or starbursts? Did you get an EVO or EVO+?
@marginallyinteresting3 күн бұрын
I do still see all of them, but I don't notice them as much. It's like a smell - after a while, you just don't notice it although the smell is still there. I think I had EVO (non-plus), the difference just being the size of the lens.

For the safety, i use my thumb joint. Right in the middle of your thumb where the joint is that you can bend the thumb in half, that middle spot i use to grab and drop the safety and push back up, works perfect for me.

The slides on these are most definitely a little stiff and are not the easiest in the world to rack for those of us with slightly larger hands. The slide on my beretta 80x cheetah is like butter in comparison, can use two fingers. That said, the cheetah also weighs twice as much and imo is not quite as comfortable to shoot. I can quite literally “palm” the BG, the beretta handles more like a mid-size to me. I like them both, just wouldn’t recommend the BG to anyone with large or weak/arthritic hands.

You should compare the CZ to a 6906 as far as grip width. Both are double stack and the 6906 has a 12 round mag. The 5906 15 round (or 17 Mec gar mag) will make the 6906 very comparable to the CZ. IIRC the TSW 3913 came with a 7 round mag. Maybe it was just an 8 round mag with flush fit base plate? Either 6906 or 3913 are excellent handguns. My 6906 shares carry time with my Glock 43X and Shield +.
@marginallyinteresting20 күн бұрын
I believe there was a different TSW that had a 7rd mag and shorter grip. (It could take the 8rd mags with them sticking out a bit.)

I have both LCP max 75th anniversary addition and BG2.0. I upgraded the springs and trigger on the max and it shoots alright. I’ve put about 1,200 rounds through it. It’s been 100% reliable and handles all types of ammo without any malfunctions including Underwood Xtreme Defenders. It shoots low left though. I was able to fit the TruGlo sights for the BG 1.0 on to the 2.0 and the Max. Took a little filing to fit them to the 2.0. ( the factory sights in the BG 2.0 were extremely tight and very difficult to remove) The BG 2.0 shoots low left too. I adjusted the sights and my sight picture to compensate. I like the ergonomics of the BG 2.0 a lot better and I’ve put about 400 rounds through it. It doesn’t like Underwood Xtreme Defenders. Jams a couple times per mag. Shoots Hornady Critical Defense just fine and any ball ammo I’ve run. I think it’s superior to the Max in every way besides the 2 part ramp. (Which I have polished) I actually carry the BG 2.0 more lately but I like how reliable the Max is for me so I still carry it fairly often and they fit the same OWB leather holster made for the Max.
@13160125 күн бұрын
Good break down …. FYI, if you bring the front sight up more like a Big Dot type sight, it shoots POI. I know that sucks, but it works. Also the magazine release button is too light and ejects the magazine under recoil if your hand even touches it a little. Put the Galloway extra heavy magazine release spring in and it helps greatly. Other than that, it’s a good little pistol. I’d stick to round nose FMJ for reliability in the little pistol. I don’t know why these semi auto pistol designers have the magazine release button stick out so much on a small pocket pistol. It’s not like it’s a race gun designed for super fast magazine changes. It’s a small pocket pistol, it’s crazy. The BG 2.0 looks just as bad if not worse.

I have my 43X slide on my Micro Dagger lower. I purchased two lowers, one black and the other green, and I never had issues with a few hundred rounds with each. I purchased them when they first began selling them. I wasn’t a big fan of the micro dagger trigger assembly so I replaced it with the Glock trigger and it shoots great! Haven’t had any issues yet.

For those having a hard time w the safety. Push that gold metal piece inwards (towards front of gun) slightly and it will help w the tension. Dont overdo it. You can use a small screw driver to push it. Now i can engage/disengage with my right thumb no problem.

I bought a PSA frame and put a 43x slide on it. I have cycling issues. Every mag I run through it there's at least 2 jams. I was hoping it would "break in" but I put probably 150-200 rounds through it, but no difference yet. I'm ready to just pick up an oem frame

Just bought a brand new LCP Max 75th anniversary.. very disappointed with the performance low about a foot and a half and left 6 in at 15:FT !!!! . Completely unacceptable.. the thing is if I just put the front sight on the target without using the rear I get pretty well centered Palm size groups.. I'm going to be contacting Ruger as I heard that they will change the barrel hence the point of aim

I have a weak grip from neuropathy so the Uplula is the only way to load mags. It takes some pressure to get the 12th round in and to insert the fully loaded mag into the gun. I have found that grasping the front slide serrations gives me a better better grip when racking the action. The safety will work better after compressing the spring a bit, putting a small amount of grease on the friction area and moving it repeatedly. Mine shot left and needed the sights moved, might be an individual thing as the Glock 42 that I previously owned shot to the left with me also. I'm not a big handgun shooter. The tab on the trigger bar exposed in the little cutout on the right rear of the receiver is a safety mechanism that keeps the striker from being released until the action is closed. While the slide is any further back that tab pushes the trigger bar down so that it cannot release the striker, the tab can only let the trigger bar rise when the slide is fully forward and the tab reaches the slide notch. The one thing that I don't really care for is the rear sight, I wish that it was a two dot tritium like shown by the video's maker. That would be perfect with the oem tritium front sight. Overall I love the little pistol though. No trading this one away!

@thomasgardner9927Ай бұрын
Smith and Wesson says to manually load the first three rounds. This gets the follower below the mag release slot. I realized a number of years ago that Uplula is my friend and constant companion at the range. My 12 round mag has been loaded a number of times now and is significantly easier to load all 12. It’s still a bear to get into the gun.
