Don't speak Korean. However, I am aware that there is a camping culture in Korea, Japan, etc. Therefore, I use some hashtags. KZbin selects at random which 3 they put next to the date on my videos.

Great new video! I always appreciate the different kit you bring for your videos. The OCU grill looks intriguing to me. Curious how you like it. Also, the image quality on this video is noticeably improved. New camera gear? How do you like your Deity mic equipment?
@GRiNGO-ADV4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the love! I've only used the UCO grill this one time. it's the smallest size that they offer (of 3), good for one person/meal. It worked well for me, it's the perfect size folded to fit in my saddle bags and is exactly the right size open to fit 3 of the formed/high performance charcoal that I generally bring 4 of. Starting with High Desert video (previous to this one), I traded the Sony A6400 for a Lumix g9 main camera, the dji spark to dji air 2 drone (huge upgrade), and added an insta360 x3 360 camera to the mix. The deity mics have done me well in general, though I never tried a rode. The mini deity is good for the price. only gave me a little unwanted feedback when I was using the DJI Pocket 2 with the wifi enabled in the beginning. however, the d3 pro is noticeably better, more crisp, better at distance, the powered low cut features take out most low end feedback and I like having the external gain vs needing to adjust in camera. Seemed better cost benefit than the rode alternative. Though if cost is not an issue, most people seem to use the Rode counterpart.

Beautiful piece of video/audio. Thank you for the effort! Pretty sure that was a Red Diamond rattlesnake. They are the most "chill" of the Rsnakes and super plentiful south of the 10 freeway. Still plenty venomous, but not like the Mojave Greens or Pacifics that are both jerks. Your experience is exactly why I don't sleep without a a tent anymore. I used to just chill under the stars, but I had a California King (non-venomous) go up my shorts once while laying on the ground! (I'm on a Husky 701 Enduro. Maybe I'll see you out there 🤙🏻)
@GRiNGO-ADV6 ай бұрын
Draco, thanks for watching and the detailed comment! though I am from SoCal, I live in Brazil, which is where most of my camping trips/content is made. I was home visiting friends and family when I taped this video. Strangely enough, despite camping mostly in the low rainforest of Brazil, I have yet to come across any predators in 13 years. Perhaps just luck, but I feel like it’s due to availability of easy prey vs the lack thereof in the desert/SoCal. Either way, still won’t be camping without a tent anytime soon! Would love to be on a husky 701, unfortunately they cost upwards of USD$30k here.

Hi John, Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! It's funny that most of my adventures/camping is in the low rainforest of Brazil, but I have yet to see a live snake. First time moto camping in California, not too far out of the city, and I see plenty of creepy crawlies!
@davidkirkland43648 ай бұрын
Look forward to hearing about your DR replacement some day. You had a snake, where I am we have bears. While the wilds are their home, it still doesn't make such an encounter any less harrowing. Gulp.
@GRiNGO-ADV8 ай бұрын
Still lots of buzz about T7 in Brazil this year, but seeming unlikely at this point. Will at least test ride the new Himalayan, but probably not my bag. Snake was enough to get some adrenaline going given the proximity (6ft), night time, and his size. But, yes could always be worse/something bigger and badder.
