There is struggle in the world, we are not exempted from struggles even with Christ. God told Saul to kill everyone and everything. Men, Women, Kids, Animals. Saul killed some but not everything and that was him not being Pure. Yeah, that was him not being purely evil. Wtf was the Lord thinking tell him to kill EVERYTHING. Today, we call those war crimes, but then I don't expect Yahweh to understand terms like that.

Hi! I understand how it comes out as evil. In this story God wanted Saul’s complete obedience and his disobedience wasn’t because he thought God was evil for his instruction but because he wanted to please others than the one who placed him there.

Wow this was amazing. Definitely added a new perspective for me about purity. I think the main difference with David and Saul was the fact that David’s heart was truly remorseful but Saul was not. He was more concerned about his outward image instead of focusing on his relationship with the most High. God sees our hearts not what we do

Amen! Even one thing to add to this: As believers, we don't wait until we struggle with something before we abstain from it. The devil is planting seeds every day and we are not to wait till the seed sprouts and we start seeing it manifest in lust, fear, anger, complacency, compromise, and addictions that we start taking the right measures. We take heed from the beginning through our freedom in Christ so we don't fall. 1Corinthians 10:12 And God has freed us OF ourselves, not FOR ourselves. That we are now free to say even though we can watch something, we have the freedom to say no so that God be glorified.
