I’m calling BS at the 35 second mark when you can (supposedly) make out his face, his face went through the back of his head on contact.

thats not his face, you can see the back of his head centered almost perfectly between the two front wheels, you can see his back too. the thing your looking at isnt him at all, its the head rest area half in the shade

i watched your full video you posted and at 55 or 6 seconds it looks like you can see the X of the roll cage thats located just behind the driver with the rear window opening beyond it. the images of the X shape are being jarred rapidly as if the camera was thrashed all over the place. the images i thought to be earnhardt maybe aren't but i think they are of something inside of the car.

This is the full video: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGbZZKN8mNRprqM&pp=ygUbRWFybmhhcmR0IHBhcnQgMiwgaW5jbHVkaW5n It is a camera that is mounted on the dashboard, up against the windshield. Dale and the rest of the interior are BEHIND the camera. The camera never breaks loose from its mounts. So, nothing of him is shown. What you are likely seeing in this footage are the hood mounts and other shattered pieces of the car.

The camera was mounted to the roof of the car.....not inside the car behind the windshield. The constant bashing of metal against the camera is the hood of the car slamming back and forth against it. Dale's car had NO interior cameras.

Good info. It did appear to be very high up to me. I wonder how they made it so it don’t effect aerodynamics.

@NickB1121 6 ай бұрын
@30AndHatingIt If you look closely in the documentary called "the day", it shows Dale's car from ground level as they started engines and began rolling off pit road. You can slightly see the camera on the roof poking up. Dale Jr once mentioned the camera system weighed 12 pounds. The stickers in front of the camera helped reduce drag on the car that the cameras imposed.

i draw or paint a picture of the wreck with as much dust and debris as i can, take a picture of it then get the picture onto the computer, and open it with the "paint" accessory and fill in empty spaces, the spray can in "paint" works good to feather out edges that are too sharp. save the changes and then find the picture in quick access right click select create new video, then select add 3d effects select frozen breath, this will be a shot of frozen breath in motion that you can place anywhere on the picture of the wreck, you can also adjust the size of the effect and add them over and over on top of each other but slightly staggered, theres other effects like "muzzle flash" whisps of smoke, explosion etc, import the video, now the picture is a video and it will be a 3 second video but you need to change it to a 9 or 10 second video before you import it so when you go to save a frame from the video youll have some room to freeze it where the effects look the best. now its gone from a drawing to a photo of a bad crash with sparks and explosions and flying debris put in by the 3d effects. the four pictures in this video have 30 or so individual effects in each picture, mostly the frozen breath effect which when in black and white is identical to a radiator exploding or plumes of fire and dust. then edit the picture and take the color out of it so its black and white and reduce the clarity to make it look more real. keep doing this over and over til it looks good enough which i dont think any of these are all that good there never done

i did this before i knew how to edit, there were many tries when the ship broke apart perfectly just like in the movie but it took the stern way too long to sink after that. if i did it again i could do it a lot better and i would glue pieces of alka seltzer tablets to the inside of it everywhere so the water would boil around it when it was sinking
@jayjackson597
@jayjackson597 2 жыл бұрын
there's a saying about Indy cars, don't steer into the skid at high speed, you have a better chance to just let it spin. he instinctively did that and it caught and sent him straight into the rail. otherwise, it may have backed in and been more survivable, RIP
@ILSRWY4
@ILSRWY4 7 ай бұрын
I'd say don't tell that to Scott Brayton but he's not here to answer to. Same with Jovi Marcello, Art Pollard, Tony Renna the list goes on who were killed AFTER the car spun. Yet Mike Chandler, and more recent Sabastian Bordais & James Hintchcliff both hit similarly to Gorden Smiley and survived. There is absolutely NO evidence or fact to back that statement of "you have a better chance to just let it spin".
