great video. just had a friend give me one of these and a royce 23 chl cb both in great cond except for 30+ years of Tabaco stains. mine has 2 banks of crystal slots and mine has a full 8 channel bank full of crystals. Of course only 1 freq is for my local stuff. i didnt get a owners manual and cant find one online. i need to know how to switch from one set/bank of crystals to another. Does anybody happen to have a copy of the owners manual? be glad to pay shipping for a copy..thanks from Georgia

Aurora made the Cigar Box cars. The same company that did the slot cars. Cool that you still have them. I still have a handful of my originals from 68-69! The Superfast VW Camper was also the newest one I still have. Christmas 1969 I believe.

Internet connection I still have basic copper dsl ...... this particular video was VCD You can take a 6 gig file and turn it into 60 to 70 meg. when I started the channel it was really almost a personal venture for just Me learning kind of playing around I internationally also used low grade very basic cameras just to get a flavor of what it was to create and produce videos on KZbin I never ever thought the channel would get views from anyone but friends on the local level kind of a all for fun thing etc. but none the less I made a introduction video on the channel and made it public rather then a private or unlisted well its got to this point and I`am sorta in process with bringing video quality on a par with everyone else I have one real decent camera that will easily create video as good as anyone else as far as the viewing experience but not the content that is on Me and it needs to be refined and cleaned up I cant really use My good camera all the time because of file size. when I do I use compression to bring file size`s down etc. I need a better more capable computer as well You may ask Me what are you doing here then ? well I never ever dreamed it would get the views that it now has I wasn't ready to really get real serious so now I`am trying and I`ll see where it takes Me and the channel I cant thank you and everyone else for your valuable time viewing the channel I have some more content soon and I`am working on the quality issue. if it really gets going I`ll buy all new stuff feel free to comment as much as you like ...... so very glad to hear your valuable opinion .... !!!!!

What is the exact frequencies you have after the 11 meter mod?
@ottronics6457
@ottronics6457 2 ай бұрын
Too many to answer here all the American CB channels plus some what they call ( " Free Band Channels " ) the only way I could tell you all the exact frequency`s here would be to go into the radio with the programming software and read the programming data. if I get time I may post a PDF of both bands and frequency's to link to if You own a radio like this and it is not modified and is set in ten meter mode and you want just the American CB Band and channels their is no mod needed switch band switch to high and band mode switch to band E that's it you have all the American CB channels upper lower side bands FM without modification. plus all the 10 meter ham band. Raddioditty has a list of the 10 meter ham channels on their web site but not the CB mod channels. I hoped this helped some and maybe someone in the comments can help you more if I ever read the radio out in programming mode I will try and print them for PDF.

Assuming it's like the similar 4 channel UHF unit I had it also has an interesting quirk - if the bulb is blown then the associated channel is skipped even if the channel switch is turned on, because the scan circuit uses the current through the lamps to determine if the channel is enabled.

Wow, bad memories! I bought one of those when I was in college and worked as an EMT. It was horrible. Terrible spurious signals always hanging it up. Finally replaced it with an E. F. Johnson Duo-Scan, which worked great. Needed low band because our ambulance service was on 37.90 MHz, plus I was (am) in California and our Highway Patrol is down there.......

I bought the radio close to 12 years ago but never tried it until this video when it came I just opened it checked for shipping damage set it on a shelf so I never got a idea of how it worked I have checked some things and have found six of the scan channels incandescent light bulbs are out plus those pulled wires I`am hoping that is all it is, one thing I can offer a friend of mines Dad sold Regency scanners when I was a kid and his Mom always had a demo radio going in the living room one summer he bought a Pace 308 like this I saw it work in the living room with the included telescopic antenna it looked and sounded good receive was clear but it was only one time and a long time ago I thought about buying it the demo His Mom had but by the time I got close to the money to buy it she sold it ..... crazy how things work out I`am going to do another video if I can get it up and running I want to improve the video quality of My videos soon I got a good camera but I cant use the full HD because files size is too great for My internet connection ..... !!!!

Neat little product. Given the size of 8 mm cameras, I would imagine that mounting that on a camera would be seriously awkward. I suspect a tripod option would be the best... or have a friend hold it. I have a spot light from the 50's or so, that came in a tin box like yours. Its so bright that when I turn it on at night, the backyard is lit as if it were day. It is far brighter than any LED light I have. Hot too. Paper burning hot. It also mounts on a tripod and I might make a vid of it some day. Thank you for sharing your unique light.

I didn't have or use 8 mm film but I did use super 8. Used a very expensive camera a Bolex S155. It didn't have a lot of self controlled settings. Most adjustments were manual and the lens glass was really sharp. Super 8 film was loaded into plastic cartridges, 50 feet in length ( about 3.5 mins. of shooting time). When complete, the package was sent in to be processed. Two weeks later you got your film back on plastic reels with white leader attached. If you were like me, you would need to splice the reels together to complete the total film story. Sometimes, I would have to put together as many 5 or 6 reels. larger steel reels were needed to hold all of this film. An editor was used and the projector was a Kodak also but the film was threaded automatically. My model also had a zoom lens to adjust the size of the final image. what killed this projector was the main gear that drove the machinery. It stripped out and there wasn't a replacement available. Then came Beta video tape. A whole new story was then started. Another bunch of money spent for this format. The nicest thing about video tape was sound was included.

I thought I remember Super 8 having sound right at the end ? Yes when they made tape affordable to the public it killed a lot of film. I think Beta was best but the public bought VHS so that is how it went.

Good old Double 8... I started making home movies using the same format, although it was already since long outdated at that time. The films were still available at some photo shops. The cost of the material forced you to think about every meter you shot. I also shot quite a few movies using Super 8. Ah good memories...

Yes the vintage gear is interesting for sure I really didn't know as much as I would have liked to learn about this peace of gear when I made the video something I didn't mention was that it will only check standard capacitors and not electrolytic`s that might be a down throw in today's world feel free to correct Me or leave comments on things you may know about the gear that way we can be of more help to somebody searching for information on this gear. appreciate You watching.
