Back in 2023 I laid mine over, had a concussion and broke both wrists. I was a little nervous when I healed up and got back on, but it’s what I needed to do for myself. It’s also my therapy and escape for me. If a rider is too nervous and worried about what could happen then it probably will. In my opinion, confidence and defensive riding is on of the keys to coming home safe.

I think most of us have been through it . not sure if you are a religious man , but i believe in prayer ....I do not think I would have taken the trip , there is always next time ...or maybe sleep on it and go the following day . If all you do is long freeway/highway driving you can get use to it and it will last forever. However, if you like to enjoy the twists and turns and handeling of your motorcycle, youll be dissapointed. Car tires are extremeley flat compared to bike tires. Again, going straight it feels the same to me. A flat, square tire is not going to perform the same as a rounded bike tire.

Thanks for this video, bro! I am battling with going Darkside as well (just because of the miles I put on). I see the argument from both sides and have done ample studying on the subject. Sadly, I am sure I will give into the temptation at some point and put a car tire on a bike... but at least you can say "I told ya so." Great vid, bro!

Hey brother love your videos man. I feel the same about riding, i love it. Most of my friends and I have wrecked and luckily we all survived. Most of those wrecks were on sportbikes years ago. I'm curious what do you do in the wintertime when its about impossible to ride?
@ohiobackroads15482 ай бұрын
@DandyChiggins860 Hello, and thank you for watching my channel. I try to ride all winter. If the roads are dry, I will ride. I have an st1300 that has heats, seats, and chips that I often ride in extreme cold. If you ever in Tennessee or ohio hit me and let's ride.
@DandyChiggins8602 ай бұрын
@@ohiobackroads1548 Dang brother you must be pretty tough lol. Down here Kentucky gets cold in the winter! I ride my Suzuki DR some when its cold. One of my buddies said he actually met you at Wildcat harley in London where we live. Were planning a ride down into Tennessee here in a couple of weeks.

The up and coming generation has no idea how good things used to be. Things have changed so drastically and not for the better in my humble opinion. I'm guilty myself of not going outside as much as I should. Riding my motorcycle is the best excuse to get outside and camp etc.

If ur head and heart aren’t into riding, don’t ride. IMHO. Just this morning, showed up back at home after riding for 4 hours, was supposed to be a 9 hour day. Wife says, ur home early. Yep, wasn’t feeling 9 hours today, was my response.

Watching Moto Giants journey has been a real eye opener for me as well. I had just found his channel and a week or two later his accident occurred. I think as riders we always know the risks when we get on a bike. The only thing we can do is try to be as aware as possible. Stay safe out there!
